PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hello People - Just thought I would ask yet another question. I have been advising family to put in claims for missold ppi and my dear little sister has decided to send all her loan details to me so that I can do it for her (she would only mess it up anyway). My question is "As all of the loans are for the same account with the same bank do I need to fill in a separate form for each one or can I put them all on the same form" (all of them have the same reasons for misselling).
Interestingly this is what her bank said to her when she went in to get the loan account numbers this morning:
"Just been to the bank. The girl reckons that you can claim for all loans within reason for ppi. She has given me all my loan numbers that I have had over the years. She said even though I dont have the paper work the loan numbers should suffice. She also said to say that it was a mandatory condition of the loan that u had to take PPI out. She reckons I've got nowt to lose but suggests I do it fast. Her boss has also told her it doesnt matter how long ago it was and that you can go back further than the 6 years".
Thanks for any advice folks.

Hi everyone
Further to my message earlier - when i fill the forms in i dont have any dates for any of my sister's loans (just the loan account numbers). Do I just say that I am unable to say exactly when the loans were from because it was a while ago and I dont have the actual paperwork and also should I say that the cashier in my local bank said I would only need the account numbers as she was the one who supplied them to me.:):):)
Thanking you muchly people.

it's a tricky one my sunny, i would try the old call my bluff trick and tell them you will talk to the fsa and ico if the bank don't come up with the goods, i've just had this with LTSB, i've been told that there records don't go back far enough with regard to giving me the absolute proof i need that i had ppi (even though i know i had it) if an account goes "dormant" you can to my knowledge contact your branch and have the dormant indicator taken off in branch this should "free" up the information for them to send you, see what they say when you mention the fsa/ico.0 -

Hi sunny they are expected to keep this information a certain time for certain laws namely the data protection and money laundering acts, i would tell them to start with that the data protection act 1998 requires them to keep this info for a reasonable time for the purposes of the act also the fsa handbook (maybe someone can find it as its a very long document) says that the fsa doesn't really give any credence to this 6 year lark and expects the banks to play ball, let me know how this goes sunny, maybe someone like di or lorraine can come on and "flesh" this out a bit more, all the best,steve0 -

it does vary sunny but the marksman has got a theory that 9 out of 10 times the banks have the info and just don't want to share it, and i agree with that, unfortunately you just have to chase, chase, chase, at the risk of sounding obsessive i've found banks are untrustworthy and will tell you anything to get you off there backs. keep your chin up girl.;)

I can't find anything in relation to the timescales involved through the FSA guidance.
What are they debating on? Is it the fact that they don't know if there was ppi or are they saying there was no ppi?
Maybe a call to the ICO or FSA would be good for some advice about it.
Sorry can't be more help at the moment sunny:oThanks to all the competition posters.0
