PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi ccl this i think depends on the bank, i've just put 5 complaints into HSBC and they wanted 5 separate questionaires even though the reasons were the same, i'm now going to fill out a fos questionaire for LTSB well two for 2 credit card accounts this way if you do have to fos the complaint you have specific complaints for the fos to address. good luck.:)
Thanks Cappo. THe bank concerned is LTSB so i think I will fill in individual ones but do a covering letter explaining what i have done and put them all in the same envelope.
Better get some more work done now or I will be in trouble. Catch u all later.

Hi there im hoping you can help.
I took out a loan with citifinancial 5 years ago which was due to be fully paid this month. I was sold ppi which i was told i had to take due to the loan being for £4000. in the end my repayments amounted to over double what i intially borrowed. I moved house in august 2009 and informed citifinancial i was moving and my new address. i received a letter telling me they had sold my loan to moneyways. My payments continued to this company. However i have just received a letter from talon debt recovery stating i owe £726.65. which is 5 months payments they said my direct debit was cancelled by me (it wasnt i think i would have known) however after checking my bank account (which ive been a little lax with obviously) it is showing the last payment did go in april. I assumed these were still going and prehaps should have checked better i have now set up a payment plan to clear the arrears. this aside i believe i may possibly have a claim for missold PPI however im unsure how to go about this and whether they will even consider my claim due to me not paying them since may. (i must also add that they had no telephone number for me which citifinancial did and they had the wrong address which was updated with citifinancial 2 years ago) therefore have received nothing from them in 5 month (i am on the electrol register). Does anyone know if i stand a chance?

It sounds like you have a potential for a claim, as to the arrears any successful claim will result in any unauthorised money owed towards the loan taken out of any redress but yes it beng passed to a dca won't make any difference go for it.

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum.
I was wondering whether I had any case for missold ppi. I have a Natwest credit card, going back to 1999. I have been paying ppi on it I think since then. However I do not have the original credit agreement. I was advised at the time that it would be beneficial for me to have it. However I have never really needed it. I've been completely ignorant about ppi and have never really paid much attention to it, when I've seen news about misselling on the news.
I do understand there is a time limit for claims. Is there any likelihood that I have a case, or have I lost my chance?
Hiya and welcome
Do not worry about the timescale.
Just make them aware you have only recently became aware of the ppi mis selling, via media etc, and FSA, and tell them you believe this applies to you.
So to do this as long as you have the account number, complete the reclaim questionnaire as on step 3 below, send and make sure you keep copies for your records, good luck.
Many have been successful in making reclaims even from the the early 90s.;)
