Hi mate hope the painting going alright, i've had 7 upholds from HSBC so far it normally takes them up to 14 days to confirm your receipt of complaint, i would think it'll be a few weeks yet before you hear anything re uphold info i wish you lots of luck but you should hear soon.:) steve

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I've recently received an estimate figure for my refund from Barclays after writing to them using a template letter that I downloaded from this site. However I've just come across a statement from Kwik-fit autocharge (taken over by Santanda Cards) card that shows PPI was added to that account and I'd like to have a go at claiming that back. I was just wondering is there a separate template letter for claiming back from credit/store cards? If so could someone point me in the direction of the download.
Thanks

Hi jo, here is the credit card ppi reclaiming info, can't find any template letters but i'd just ring santander or write them a quick letter detailing the info on your post, exactly the same really as a loan reclaim you could then send in a ppi fos questionaire if santander needed it, put the relevant details on your first letter of complaint all details why you feel you were misold etc. that should do to kick it all off. (try template below)

Just wondered if anyone has had any luck with Halifax, how long did it take you to receive your letter detailing their calculations and then payment after sending back your acceptance form?
Thanks
Hi guys,
Just wondered if anyone could advise on this or how long other banks are taking from this point.
Do they have a set amount of days to follow at this point?
Thanks0 -
Hi all, I am after a bit of advice where to do next.
I have been knocked back by the MBNA for a claim on my credit card ppi.
They have sent back a copy of my application form showing where I have ticked for ppi, but the tick goes in the opposite direction to all the other tick boxes i would have ticked but the tick is the same direction to the sales reps where they have filled other areas of the form. I cannot remember (got card in 2003) but I can only assume they ticked the ppi box when I filled in the form. Also they have stated that I have not adequatly proved that I could pay the payments if I was ill or whatever. I think the tick bit this is a bit of a thin excuse and am not sure what to do next, not sure FOS would do anything based on the tick issue.
Thanks for any help.
Capital One are also holding this against me (although I did tick the box myself but thought it was a condition of applying), so my claim is also now with the FOS.SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

Morning guys...:j:j Good luck to all today :T:T:T:T
Little update....got an email from CB last night with regards to me asking them to look at all my loans going back to 1999-2000...
"In order to keep you updated I can confirm all points have been reviewed
and a letter will be issued outlining our responses.
Thank you for your continued patience".
The way i have read this is that ...no, they are not going to look at them....:o:o. I have SAR them so, not all lost....on the positive side though...they maybe say yes..we are willing to look at them...everything crossed:):)xx0 -
Hello everyone,
Am new to this forum and will appreciate any help. I got the following response from Northern Rock after submitting the reclaim PPi template letter.
Thank you for your recent contact with NRAM. Unfortunatley we do not have a resolution for your complaint at present. However, once we have completed our investigations, we will respond in full. Meanwhile we will keep you informed of the progress made and will write to you again as soon as we can.
We are regulated by the FSA and they advise you to complete our Internal Compalints Procedure first. I hope therefore that you wil give us more time to continue looking into your complaint. However, i must make aware that you may refer matters to the financial ombudsman service, at any time.
So, what do you think?how long should i have to wait before stepping up the complaint?anyone experienced this?0 -

I was told in one of the other threads last night, that they're supposed to have 8 weeks from receiving your acceptance letters to give you what they owe you. Some banks are doing it between 21-28 days.
I sent my forms back three weeks ago to the Hx, they received them on the 30.8. So far, they haven't any calculations for my claims, I call them once a week. I'm not holding my breath for any time soon either:wall:0 -

Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that there are now new timescales that the banks are using and for those claims made recently they have.................wait for it............ up to 16 WEEKS in which they have to reply to you. Actually getting the cash back with take even longer! Good luck on your reclaiming though, it'll be worth it in the end.Awaiting £2k from Lloyds which I'm told will be here by Next Wednesday!
