Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that there are now new timescales that the banks are using and for those claims made recently they have.................wait for it............ up to 16 WEEKS in which they have to reply to you. Actually getting the cash back with take even longer! Good luck on your reclaiming though, it'll be worth it in the end.
Awaiting £2k from Lloyds which I'm told will be here by Next Wednesday!
Regards
Ruth
the banks dont have 16 weeks to reply to you, the FSA gave the banks 16 weeks to deal with complaints received from when the Judicial Review result came in until 31st August, for complaints received from 1st September until 31st December they will be allowed 12 weeks and from 1st January 2012 they are back to the original 8 weeks to give you a final decision. At this point they must report to you in writing with their final decision or ask for more time AND advise you of your rights to make a further complaint to FOS.
I've also been reading over the past few weeks that once they make their decision they have up to a further 8 weeks to calculate your redress and pay you back your refund.
This is all shocking time scales I admit, but due to the sheer numbers involved of cases that had been on hold because of the JR it's no surprise really that there is this amount of problems, hold fire and we'll all get there in the end, and the flip side is to complaint to FOS but you may wait 18 months to get a decision there!:eek:Thanks to all the competition posters.0
