Just found a PPI from a company called Landmark Home Furnishings for £280 from about 10 years ago...they are no longer in business...can I still claim and how can I find out who to contact...thanks..

    Hi there

You can contact the FOS who will possibly suggest the underwriter/insurer avenue as another way of trying to get your money back to you, as they will have has some liabilities as well.
Give them a call see what they say and please get back to us to let us know, we can take it from there, good luck.

Just looking at my credit card with them now . Can you tell me if "cardholder protection plan" is PPI ?

    yes anne it is.
  • Bit confused, just had another call from oh saying letter from hsbc is at home. I told him to open it as I suspected it my credit card offer

The letter is another offer for my 6 loans and this time includes my credit offer as well.

I have already sent my acceptance for my loans

Anyone else had two offer letters? I know some would appreciate having one!

Suppose I will send this acceptance off as well, love it if they paid this and the first one lol

    That is great!:T Congratulations!

This is what the FSA wants banks to do, is look back at all other loan/credit card ppi accounts, and as you already had one there they got on with them all the same time, as this is better for them in the long run too, great news!

  • Hi Guys...:) Congratulations to all winners today!!!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

    Just an update:
Well, i rang clydesdale this morning & spoke to Gina who stated that although i had loans dating from 1998, they could only deal with the most recent loan i had taken out which was in 2004 & paid off in 2005??

I asked why, and she stated they could only go back to 2004 - i asked if i could SAR it (as she didnt mention it) and she stated i could but it would then have to start as a brand new claim....:(...so i have asked for the address & am going to post of a SAR off tonight..Is this right ?? that they can do this - i thought if they were dealing with one loan they had to deal with them all...Please help :(:( xx

    Hiya

    Thanks for your update.

I would make them aware that as its only recently you became aware of the mis selling this is why you are taking this up now on the reclaiming.
Also tell them that the FSA wants companies to look into other previous loans as well.

Sunny, if you know for defo that you were sold PPI, then just get a reclaim in, they will still investigate, and the chances are they will come across the details of that loan.

Many have been successful in making reclaims even from the 90's, if they try fobbing you off again then tell them that too, and again tell them its 6 years from when you became aware of the mis selling.

Keep at them honey, but if you do want to request a SAR, that is totally optional, you do not have to at all, just as long as you have the loan account number that will do.
They can at least enclose you with the account numbers if you do not have these without the request of a SAR.;)
