    HI all
I recently successfully reclaimed PPI on my credit card of £3600 :jand received a chq for this amount even though I had an outstanding balance on the card of £4600. I then asked for a detailed calculation on how they worked this out and have received this, which shows a reconstructed balance outstanding of £1000. I've looked at these calculations (for hours on end:cool: and getting really confused) my question is do I now just owe them £1k because my statements still show that I owe them £4600. Confused.com to say the least
    thanks in advance
    Fi xx
:jWell done on your win
It looks like, they took the refund of 3.600 off your balance, but they paid it back to you,so your balance is still 4.6000.
    Thats what i think anyway.
  • Hi need some advice my husband is reclaiming ppi for a loan with barclays some years ago we went through ismart (doh) signed paperwork for one loan only.Today have received letter from barclays saying they are going to refund all three loans at a total of over £6k.Do Ismart have a right to a % of all the loans or just the one we signed the contract for ,i can see this might be a battle with them winning .:(

    Hi,
I have phoned different departments repeatedly to ask when PPI was first applied to account and no one can tell me, they only tell me went I cancelled!
I'm waiting on SAR from LTSB as I feel they are mucking me about.
I've had card since 1996, what exactly should be in it, will there be statements going back to 1996?
Dont think you will get statements from 1996.
You should get a copy of the agreement, but they may not have this.If they could provide a copy there may not be ppi on there,as it could have been added at a later date.
I have phoned different departments repeatedly to ask when PPI was first applied to account and no one can tell me, they only tell me went I cancelled!
Also I requested original T&C's in June gave them over a fortnight to reply to me then nothing! I phoned them weekly and kept on getting told something different, eventually I got a letter telling me than don't have a copy - 8 weeks down the line, so I sent a SAR them in middle of August.
I've already put my complaint in, I honestly don't remember asking for PPI or being asked about it and only got the credit card as I had opened a bank account with them.
If the PPI was applied when CC was opened, if they can't find T&C's what or how else will they investigate complaint?

    Sorry for all the questions!
They will look at your claim and let you know if they will refund you or not, there is not a lot you can do but wait for them to respond.
When they do respond, post on here and we will help you further if we can.

I think it would depend on what it said in the contract that you signed,it could be that you signed to say a % of anything they get back for you,so this could mean the whole wins,or it could just be for a specific loan.
I am not really clued up on this to be honest, others on here maybe and i am sure they will post and help you.
  • Just found a PPI from a company called Landmark Home Furnishings for £280 from about 10 years ago...they are no longer in business...can I still claim and how can I find out who to contact...thanks..
