You will not have an Insurance certificate. If you were lucky then you might have recieved the terms and conditions or a copy of the policy. The onus is on them eventually to prove that you did not have the PPI or why they shouldnt pay out. Obviousley there is evidence that there was PPI so its a case of going back to the FOS and tell them you have sent them everything you have.

The FOS will have to put the pressure on the underwriter on this one NOT you. I think its going to be a waiting game until the underwriters buckle. Dont forget they have apologised to you for the length of time. FOS should know that the ppi was written under a group olicy so there is no insurance certificate.

I would wrie back, re-iterate the reasons for the mis-sale and tell them you have sent them all the iformation youhave or were sent.

    Hi Niggly,

Thanks for this. I did call them this morning letting them know that I do not have any other documents to send to them apart from what they already have. The guy was OK with this. Like you said this will take some time. AXA insurance are nasty and do not want to pay up although my agreement shows that PPI was sold by the The Funding Corporation and they were the underwriters. I also did something else this morning, I called the The Funding Corporation who sold the PPI and requested the policy and the insurance certificate, they gave me another number to call, when I phoned this number, they asked me the usual security questions and then my address and they said that they will post a copy to me, hopefully the insurance certificate will be genuine, I do not trust any of these companies any more.

    Hiya

Companies will try anything to get out out of it, but you must make them aware that you have only recently became aware of the mis selling or you would have dealt with it sooner, keep at them, good luck.;)

    Hi and welcome/
Sorry for the delay in responding.

I take it the loan is paid off?
Sometimes they may not longer hold the actual agreement if the account is now closed.

If you know you were definately paying and mis sold for the PPI you can still make a reclaim.;)
Or give it a go anyway, they will soon let you know if there was no PPI, but with it being EGG there probably was.

To make a reclaim, just complete the reclaim questionnaire as on step 3 below, send and make sure you keep copies for yourself.
They normally have 8 weeks, but the FSA have allowed more time for some banks and companies extra weeks, such as 12 weeks, although they may still resolve before then.

Hope this info helps. Good luck.
