No you don't need to tell them how much you want back, they will work out whats due to you from the payments you have paid or were charged over the term of the loan or the credit card.anaylorefc wrote: »When I send off my PPI FOS form, do I need to send a letter with it stating how much I want back? They have certain parameters to work from, but the main one being to put you back into the position you would've been in if you hadn't had ppi on your account/loan, IF they find in favour of your complaint.
Once you find out if they have found in your favour they should send you a full breakdown of any redress and you can post details here for some to check for you.
You could post in the meantime for an idea, look back to some of niggly's posts and see the information he needs to give you a good solid figure, he's not usually wrong!:DThanks to all the competition posters.0 -

Hi,
I have phoned different departments repeatedly to ask when PPI was first applied to account and no one can tell me, they only tell me went I cancelled!
I'm waiting on SAR from LTSB as I feel they are mucking me about.
I've had card since 1996, what exactly should be in it, will there be statements going back to 1996?
I have phoned different departments repeatedly to ask when PPI was first applied to account and no one can tell me, they only tell me went I cancelled!
Also I requested original T&C's in June gave them over a fortnight to reply to me then nothing! I phoned them weekly and kept on getting told something different, eventually I got a letter telling me than don't have a copy - 8 weeks down the line, so I sent a SAR them in middle of August.
I've already put my complaint in, I honestly don't remember asking for PPI or being asked about it and only got the credit card as I had opened a bank account with them.
If the PPI was applied when CC was opened, if they can't find T&C's what or how else will they investigate complaint?
Sorry for all the questions!0 -

Yes,it is the same.Guys,
I know i'm a regular but just found some paperwork with Halifax for a secured loan with the above on it, I checked and it's been paid off with equity taken out on the house, but I'm assuming I just go about the reclaim in the same way as unsecured lending?
Cheers:D
I dont need to post the links for what you need to do:rotfl::rotfl:
