I sent a claim to RBS on 16th June and hadn't heard anything from them so I phoned at the beginning of August to see what was going on . A very nice polite woman told me that it would be 16 week before I would hear anything but she told me that they were looking into my claim and actually told me of a couple of loans I had forgotten about . She also asked me if I wanted the a/c nos of these !!!!!! So now I wait ...........in anticipation .

    Hi Anne and welcome

I have a good feeling about this and the others too :D good luck and please keep us posted, fingers crossed x

If you feel that the delay is too long, email the CEO of the RBS, you won't get a reply from him,, nobody does but it is passed to a higher level than you are dealing with now.

    Nothing to lose have you

That is a very good question!
Good morning Cappo hubby shouting through bathroom door as Im getting ready for work that the business advisor was on breakfast tv talking about ppi to a top cmc - I have to say he was a smashing fellow and said how little the banks have paid out as of yesterday the cmc did say we can go back 15 to 20 years to make a claim and he thought the treatment of the banks to all the people waiting for their refunds has been absolutely shocking. As mentioned in the forum my claim went to rbs last september got put on hold FOS agreed it was misold chap at rbs told me I still had to wait eight weeks for some notification from the bank - so all in all I cant see any letter arriving for me today - thought I would let u know how badly the banks will be thought of after all this is over - I go on holiday in 10 days time watch my post arrive when I am away - again thanks to you on this forum which spend so much of your time helping people like me - now Im off to work

just worked out last night that it's been 14 weeks of the 16 that HSBC had to reply to me in with a decision. i've not received one yet, and i would like to put a black mark on HSBC's credit record for missed payments :)

i'm sure they'd quickly do the same to us if we missed payments. ANYHOW.

happily heard (on the beeb) that all claims have to be dealt with by today, although according to the guardian HSBC might have till the end of the week.

Hi kolin i would imagine if you've not heard yet you have an uphold there, be patient it'll get sorted out,not much longer now. like you i waited the maximum time for a response with hsbc but then all my claims were upheld. i would think you'll have the same.good luck. steve
