What annoys me is that we totally trusted these banks, I was always brought up to trust and respect, police, doctors, teachers and bank managers!! When they told me I needed PPI I and it was part of the loan package not for one minute did I doubt them, I totally took them at face value.
Really I think we were all completely hoodwinked. Surely it is only right we are all compensated fully and unequivically.

Has it now reached the point where the only way banks can make money is to SCAM their customers ???

    You are so right LynK

Hoodwinked is far too gentle a word .. SCAMMED AND DEFRAUDED are much better and TRUE words

Yes, they will probably credit the amount to your card if there is a balance owed thereby reducing that balance

    Hi Trish
If you are in arrears then the bank has the right to use the redress to clear the arrears from your card if there is any left over after it is cleared then you will receive the rest. If your payments are up to date then you should get all the redress to do with as you please.
Well done for getting an uphold

    Hi all

Just starting out on this journey! My husband has an Aqua card which I believe had PPI missold to him on the basis of pushiness and lack of factfinding. I see on the complaint template form that I can put that I am complaining on his behalf. Is it ok to do this or is that really only for children claiming for elderly parents etc?

Next question - Bank of Scotland have written to him saying that some exclusions were not drawn to his attention and that those exclusions will no longer apply. I believe they will defend themselves by saying that they have now changed the t & c so they are in line with what he was told - however to me that clearly means it was missold as he would have been unable to claim in those circumstances.
Does anyone have any experience of Bank of Scotland reclaims to help me along?

I sent a claim to RBS on 16th June and hadn't heard anything from them so I phoned at the beginning of August to see what was going on . A very nice polite woman told me that it would be 16 week before I would hear anything but she told me that they were looking into my claim and actually told me of a couple of loans I had forgotten about . She also asked me if I wanted the a/c nos of these !!!!!! So now I wait ...........in anticipation .
