We got intouch with our catalogue, regarding PPI, and we are unhappy about it. They sent us a questionaire, asking how it was bought , what was mentioned about it etc. We sent that back about fortnight ago, now they have arranged for one of there Complaints Handlers to call us. Has anyone else had all this when putting in a claim for PPI miss selling, plus we dont no what else they want to no

    CAPITAL ONE

Just received an email from Capital One with regards to my claim.

    IT STATES:

"Furthermore, we will not be paying the onerous costs you wish to administer against us, Capital One."

The word "onerous" by Capital One is a slight joke, What about all the onerous costs they have applied to thousands of people :rotfl:

If you have been damaged by Capital One, I want to hear about it as companies who commit fraud must pay the penalty. Please PM me and I will contact you.

In the meantime, anyone who is considering purchasing financial service products from Capital One should carefully read within these forums how they operate and the damage they cause to people

    Quick question,

As of today, my complaint has been with Barclays for 16 weeks exactly. Response, none.

I've just called them, and they have basically said it's because they have had to respond to all the pre April 20 complaints by today. Obviously I've told them that this isn't good enough and that they have already had additional time given to them by the ombudsman to deal with my complain.

Anyway, my question is - is it worth me going to the ombudsman or should I just give them another couple of weeks to see what happens, as they have asked me to do.

    Pretty annoyed to be honest.

If I were you I would give them a couple more weeks. Think of all the interest you are getting by them being slow! If you go to the FOS they may refuse to the deal with you any longer as they will take it the FOS are now dealing with your complaint and then you are facing wait times in excess of a year. Hold on in there it will be worth it in the end I’m sure

    Hi

Not sure about catalogues, but if you don't want them to call you and you prefer all these matters to be dealt with in writing, I would write to them let know that.
I say that because then you will also have proof in writing - for example if you want to complain to the FOS later on.

Tell them you believe you have answered fully to the questionnaire and any contact you prefer to do so in writing, good luck.;)
