Hi there, well done on your win.
If they have offered you full redress then accept, this should be a refund of ppi and interest and the 8%.0 -
Hi,
firstly thank you thank you thank you :-) I have just received an offer from NRAM for a policy PPI that I had, and without this site I would have had no idea what to do. Martin for PM!
Could somebody with a maths brain assist if the offer I have been given is a fair one?
Loan of £5000 over a period of 10 years, capital £5000 interest of £2472: APR of 8.9%. Loan started June 2006, all payments made every month.
The offer received is for a refund of £1171, and interest of £257, along with a reduction in the balance of the remaining loan. Whilst this is a first offer from them I am happy to take whatever someone with more knowledge thinks is a fair amount!
Once again thank you to MSE and the forum members- you have been very helpful :-)

A while ago I took out a loan with HFC, recently sent a letter to ask about PPI with my loan. They have sent a reply stating a full and final settlement offer including interest.
Do we wish to accept this offer, it will remain open for 6 weeks then will be withdrawn. should it not be accepted, it can be referred the the FOS for review.
Don't really know what to do, any advice?
As amersall says if it's fair and it includes all the interest that is owed then go for it, sounds good.0 -

Hello,
I'm hoping someone can give me some advice. I haven't posted on here for a while but have been following and guided into submitting PPI claims.
I put in a claim to Lloyds in May. To be honest I wasn't sure if I was paying PPI, I had the card for about 30 years until it was settled in 2009 with a closing balance of £10,000 (!)
I realise I probably should have requested a SAR as I could not see PPI on my one old statement.
I received a letter last week saying my PPI was going to be refunded and I sent off the acceptance form.
Could they have done this without checking if I was paying PPI or am I just being paranoid ? At the moment I'm trying not to mentally spend the money:)
Just hoping someone can advise me

That is fab Digs, Congratulations!
It appears then that you must have been paying for PPI, well done! The one and only "Dizzy Di"
