Hi lisa, If you still live your original branch, or any branch, pop in and speak to their customer service people to try and find your old account, they should still have details on file, I phoned my old branch of RBS and they found me no problem, and if you ask them for the loan account numbers they should give them to you, I also couldn't get copies of agreements, but they were able to give me the account numbers, amounts, ppi amount, interest rate and term, everything I needed to put a complaint of mis-sale in to them.lisajaynec wrote: »Hi

Hi All
Hope you are all well
Would like your thoughts on this
Sent a SAR request to Tesco Credit Cards regarding a previous card that I had (cant remember when)
After 74 days and three registered letters I received the following
"unless you supply the credit card account number we cannot assist"
I think that is a load of nonsense as I have sent SAR requests to various Companies with only my name and addresses and I have received all the information that I requested, one loan in particular was over 10 years old.
I dont have a clue what the account number was or when it was cleared, whats your thoughts folks
Regards

Thank you, I will give that a try, as i have been with the yorkshire bank, at the same branch for 27 years. RBS was taken out over the phone, but thanks again.

Hi Ginger
Hope your well too.
Yes I know what you mean here.
How long ago was the account running?
Just wondering if the account was settled more than 6 years ago.
And I wonder if the account was still active then if a credit report may reveal the details perhaps.

Check the above site out for a free credit report, or otherwise its £2 I believe.
And if your getting problems with them you can also contact the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) for advice as well, they will tell you your rights on this.

Hope the above info helps.

Hiya
If you put in the complaints in at the same time, I assumed they would be dealt with within the same timescale, unless they have further calculations for work out for this one, you could ring them to ask, or just sit it out a little longer and see what happens.
I would also at the same time ask them to post you a written detailed breakdown, it seems banks differ in how they deal with these things, but ask anyway, hopefully they will send them in the post for you, good luck.;)
Thanks Di, shortly after I wrote that post the postman came with a letter from Lloyds upholding my second cc reclaim so that went straight into the post recorded delivery so just a wait to find out how much and when. Cant thank all of you on here enough for the advice. So many posts with good news I cant keep up lol:j:A0 -

Hi lisa don't know if our treasure Di or our shining amersall amongst others have addressed this but my spin on it is this, pursue the bank, email the ceo and badger them, as the marksman said in a previous post there probably looking at your account numbers right now as they tell you they don't have them, i've chased LTSB for the last 4 months to get my credit card account numbers and they've led me a song and dance, i've now sarred them after threatening to contact the fsa and ico and emailing ceo several times,it's a game now with the banks trying to limit there exposure to misell so the more people they put off,the less they payout. again i'm afraid to have to say as i said to trish if you really can't get the co-operation of the bank consider a (good) cmc who will work for you on a no win no fee basis and if they get no joy will not charge you, sorry guys i'm not having a change of heart but some of these guys will lose out with no-one able to shift the banks and it's better to have 75% of a claim then nothing at all, where do you go with the banks when they get stubborn to the point of doing nothing. steve (my sources say anything upto a 3 year wait now for fos)
Great advice Cappo:)0 -
