  • Hi All,

I made a claim for a PPI refund from Barclaycard in Jan 2011 and to date, so far so good as I am at the point where Barclays have offered me a gesture of goodwill payment of £1300. They sent the letter on 5 Aug and I sent the acceptance form back the next day (no time to waste!). Since then I haven't heard a peep from them (been on holiday for the past 2 weeks) and no refund has appeared in my account as yet. I plan to chase them up first thing Tuesday morning, but was just wondering if anyone else has had this type of issue and what this deadline of 31 August means - i've read a few posts mentioning something about this.

    Thanks!

    Hi there
    Well done on your success!

I understand it may take between 21 to 28 days from after they receive your signed acceptance form.
I would give them a call after the bank holiday and ask them just to make sure, good luck.

    Hello,
I'm hoping someone can give me some advice. I haven't posted on here for a while but have been following and guided into submitting PPI claims.
I put in a claim to Lloyds in May. To be honest I wasn't sure if I was paying PPI, I had the card for about 30 years until it was settled in 2009 with a closing balance of £10,000 (!)
I realise I probably should have requested a SAR as I could not see PPI on my one old statement.
I received a letter last week saying my PPI was going to be refunded and I sent off the acceptance form.
Could they have done this without checking if I was paying PPI or am I just being paranoid ? At the moment I'm trying not to mentally spend the money:)
Just hoping someone can advise me

Hi there, they would not have sent you a upheld letter if you did not have ppi, just sit back and wait for the credit.
