    Hi All
Sorry to be asking another question but i have a wallis card, that I put in a claim to Santander, I was told by santander that i had to do 2 claims one to creation cards who i originally took the card out with in Nov 2001-sept 2004 then one to santander took over the account from sept 2004-present. I have done this and at first creation denied any ppi (luckily I have my statements) they are now looking into this again.
Santander have turned me down (even though they paid out for my house of fraser card within 7 days, using the same reasons) so i took it to FLA who werent much help, they wrote to santander and santander turned them down, and so they told me to seek legal advice if i was not happy. I took advice on here and contacted onbudsman who wrote to me on Friday but told me to send all the info plus mis sold questionnaire to Santander. This isnt right is it, I have done this, I thought that i just send it all to the onbudsman including a copy of santanders reply to me and a copy of FLAs reply to me.
    Any thoughts on this
Thanks as always for your time and patience
    Lisa

    some useful info guys

courts are expected to soon declare that banks will be forced to review all PPI sales. The controversial Payment Protection Insurance scandal continues to rage as more and more members of the public claim the they too, have been mis-sold the supposedly protecting insurance. Banks may be forced to go back and check millions of sales of PPI, a time consuming, not to mention very costly, task. Thousands have already made successful claims and have received compensation from the banks that are choosing to accept some liability for a small amount of sales, but many are fighting, claiming that the majority of sales were fair.
Some reports have suggested that you can only claim for a six year period wrongful payments, a suggestion that is being refuted frequently. If you think you may have been mis-sold PPI, you may be entitled to claim for a lot more than just six years, as well as a lot more than just the wrongful payments. Some are claiming for compensation of their PPI payments, the interest they’ve had to pay on the larger than necessary loans they have taken out to allow for the PPI payments, and even the problems the increased loan size may have caused. Some are saying that these larger loans have caused problems when trying to apply for other loans, or the impact it has had on other financial responsibilities, even for the detriment it may have had to someone’s credit rating.

Don't worry too much chas sounds like an uphold the delay seems to be normal now,as the banks are so far behind with the payments, just think though chas the more time it takes the more interest you'll get,the banks don't seem to see this lol

hopefully it means they will find in my favour, if they were going to deny my claim i would have done so by now and not drag it out for longer.

    Hi All
Think I have seen a compensation calculator on this site for ppi on credit cards as its going to be complicated as I've had the card from 1999 to today although only paid PPI until Dec 2008, then it disappeared from my statement in the Jan 2009, very strange but I have had ppi added for 9 years unnecessarily. Anyone else had this happen to them? Can anyone point me to the calculator please.
    Thanks
    Lisa

Unless you have every statement for the time you had the card and know the exact balance at the end of every month and the PPI paid in each month (it varies on cards as its a % of balance) then its impossible to work out the redress.
Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............
