  • Hi All. First time on here, so please bear with me.
I am trying to help my Mum and Dad reclaim PPI on a credit card that they have had for 15 to 20 years.
We sent a letter, with a cheque for £1, on 13th July to the local branch of the Yorkshire Bank asking for T&Cs.
We have not heard anything back. My parents are both OAPs and never realised what they were paying.
They do not remember exactly when they took out the credit card, and the oldest statement they can find dates back to 2001. Do we just start the claim process, or contact again for T&Cs...

Thanks for the advice. Going to send complaint questionaire in tomorrow after recieving a very intimidating letter from bank today.

    Hi and welcome

Even if it were ticked it does not mean you were not mis sold, so depending on the reasons you have for reclaiming.
I will say though, back then many assumed it was all part of the package and was not discussed.
I would therefore ask them to reconsider if they have not provided you with the final decision yet, if you feel they've overlooked it and not taken your reasons into consideration, then tell them that as well.

Did they say if this was the final decision?

Anyone had an Egg credit card since 2003,i have all the paperwork and it looks as though all the paperwork sent through, that the PPI was automatically put on,Never have PPI,so they must have added it without my knowledge. Anyone found around this year 2003,they automatically put it on.by the way it was done online
