His reply was that my file was in the finance department and they were working out my exact pay-out and I would be hearing from them within the next eight weeks which is the length of time they have been given. It seems to me everyone is told a different story when they phone their bank up, I have decided to just wait out the eight weeks - I keep remembering we are mounting up the interest good luck to us all0 -
Hi I'm getting full of confidence second time on the forum, taken me months to pluck up courage but wanted to pass on the information I have received today, as I have already said have a claim in with RBS since September last year, they put my case on hold and advised me to go through the FSO which I did, phoned FS0 last month and was told case had been upheld and RBS would be receiving the next block of names within the next few weeksmine being one of them - anyway this morning I actually phoned RBS for the first time since putting my claim in I have to say I got through straight away and said to the very polite gentleman that yet again postman had been and left no letter, to which the gentleman said what letter are you waiting for? so I explained I should be hearing from RBS by the 31st August.

In theory by waiting a couple of days you could save an extra four weeks of waiting.:DThanks to all the competition posters.0 -
Hi Ned, the current timelines the banks have to deal with your complaint if received on or before 31st August is 16 weeks, however, for all complaints received on or after the 1st September, they only have 12 weeks to deal with it, this was agreed by the FSA, however, I think it only applies to HSBC/RBS/Lloyds Group(including Halifax/Bank Of Scotland) and Barclays.
