Quick question for the experts here.

Just had an offer that is twice the value of my credit card outstanding balance and RBS want to put the money on it to clear the balance. how easy is it to get the extra money back or is there an alternative?
:D:D:DYou could transfer it to my bank :D:D
    Well done :j:j:j

I just thought I'd get some advice what to do about my PPI. I have received the letter from Barclays today about the amount that I will get back from them and I'm really chuffed with the amount as it is a lot more than I expected. The amount I got back is a little more than the actual outstanding balance on my credit card and I'm not really sure if I should pay it all off now to be debt free or pay a certain amount and pay for a few things that have been put on hold due to lack of money in the last few years (dentist, driving license etc). Any advise would be very much appreciated. I know, that no one can make that decision for me but maybe hearing different ideas will make it a bit easier for me to make that final decision. :)

Thanks for that. Just reiceve letter back today from bank, with cheque returned, saying they cannot locate a copy of the executed credit agreement. I have found this letter quite intimidating, as i do not fully understand a lot of terms they use.
They have said that if they find the copy, they will enforce it or can reconstitute it at any time in the future.
I have started filling the questionaire in, but my parents are now worried that they will have to pay the credit card off in full if we continue with this, as the letter we recieved gives that impression. HELP......

hi yorkshiremum i'm under the impression, sorry if i'm wrong that you were trying to check to see if one of your accounts namely a credit card is enforceable, don't worry and don't be frightened by the banks bluster, we've all had it on here have you a reason for misold if you have i'd counter with a misold claim, the banks cannot do anyhing to you unless it is enforced by the courts and believe me the courts take a dim view of the banks bullying, try not to worry.

Hi phil they do take a long time and 25% + vat is normal if you have anymore claims put them in yourself it's very easy, all done for the price of a stamp.

Hi annie i've now had hsbc uphold 7 claims and i'm clearing my o/d and credit card anything left i'll bank, always better to clear the debt first as borrowing is a lot dearer and once the moneys gone you'll have missed a good opportunity.
