Just noticed that i have been paying a ppi on my debenhams card. Ive wrote a letter explaing that i have been mis-sold ppi because when i applied in store the assistant told me to tick the box for a price protection guarantee. She led me to believe that if i purchased any item on my card and it when was reduced in the sale i could claim the difference back. I have explained this in my letter to them. What do you think my chances are of claiming back the ppi amounts that i have paid? I just dont see many debenhams posts that have had their claims upheld.

I would say on that basis your chances are pretty good, sales assistants lied all the time which of course is misrepresentation also was the assistant even qualified to "sell" you the ppi,all food for thought.

  • Hi All,

i just wanted to say thank you to everyone's advice. in particular for the free templates etc.

after a 7 week wait with Welcome finance the have finally agreed i am to be compensated just over £5,000! Which i owe to this sight :money:

here's the thing.....i had three settled accounts and one still with them. Welcome have said they put all the PPI into one and are putting the compensation the the existing loan. i have no problem with the PPI relating to my current loan but am furious that paid debts are being lumped into one pot!!!!

I think they should be caLculated separately. has anyone else been successful with rejecting an offer with similar circumstances?

btw ..i am still awaiting a decision on a pre 2005 PPI claim

thanks guys, you are an inspiration

Hi everyone I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone else have had a ppi claim handled by Eatons solicitors in Bradford--they are
handling mine and have been doing so since august 2008 against first plus and central capital I'm just annoyed it's taking so long, has anybody else had to wait this long--they are charging me 25 per cent
    plus vat
Hi there, this should not have taken 3 years, this ppi is the easiest to get refunded!! they are dragging their heels on this one,do you know what the hold up is?.

Just to let you know, the charge the solicitor will make,is on the whole ppi amount, not just the ppi you have paid to date.
