    hi
thanks for helping me on this, they have said it is a final response and have said i have the right to refer it to the ombudsman. i never filled in any forms i only spoke to someone on the phone to register my complaint.

    Your welcome alfie.

Sometimes but not often, they will even change a final decision, depending on what reasons you give them, so maybe you could this time write to them and explain that you wasn't given the opportunity to write with further information, and only dealt with the complaint verbally, so you feel your case has been overlooked.

You can then ask them to reconsider and ask them to take into consideration your reasons, ask if they can get back by 14 days, and if you hear nothing you assume the decision is the same, then you will complain to the FOS.

Its up to you of course, but if you hear nothing at all by then or they keep to the same decision then move on to the FOS.

Maybe worth another shot anyway, fingers crossed.;)

    hi Di
okay will try this:) i feel i was missold this because i dont remember taking ppi out, i was a director of a company at the time with 6 months fully paid sick pay and 6 months half pay. Also i dont beleive my circumstances were fully explored as to my ned for ppi plus i was never told anything about ppi and if i did take it out it would have been because i would have been under the impression it was part of obtaining the credit card, does this make sense and is it enough to get a complaint upheld ?

Yes you do have good reasons here, tell them you assumed it was all part of the package and if you were informed that it was optional then you would have had the opportunity to confirm that it would be worthless to you and you do not require it as a director.
Everything helps, and for these reasons it should be upheld in my opinion x;)

You could mention about the upheld complaint as well if you want to, it should hopefully help your case.;)
