Trish, see reply above this regards your SAR, you may get some of the account numbers from your credit report, I'm sure some of the other forumites have done some back door ways of getting information, I think they contacted their bank that they made their monthly payments from and got them to trace the details from the direct debit info, I could be wrong, and I'm sure those forumites who recognise this story may be able to share some finer details.

Good luck and keep us posted.:D

thanks for your reply i shall certainly persue,
Am still awaiting quite a biggy from LTSB up to 2008 when i stopped ppi
had it since 2002 with about £13000 balance and payng around £93 a month ppi sometimes £100 per month ppi as it is still live am expecting them to pay from when i had the card January 2002,stopped ppi june 2008,
• Can anyone tell me if there is a time frame in which the banks have to come up with a figure once they've agreed to uphold the claim? Ditto once I've accepted (assuming I do of course) do they have to send the cheque in X number of days/weeks?

What I'm referring to as the "yes we did rip you off" letter is dated 22nd July and says they'll write to me "promptly" with a settlement amount. I'm starting to get a little obsessive about checking the mailbox everytime I open the door!!!

....... if it was the latter, if the loan has been completed they are not required to keep it after the loan is finished, but they should still hold the basic details, loan amount, ppi amount if any, interest rates for both etc etc.

Just playing catch up on a few posts here

They ARE required to keep the credit agreement on file for 6 years "after the relationship ended" (when the loan completed) via money laundering regulations

So a SAR SHOULD present the agreement of a loan that finished up to 6 years after the agreement ended - as we all know, in many cases they keep the agreements long after this

Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

I need some advice please!

I took out a loan with MoneyBackBank.co.uk in September 2005.

I don't have any of the paperwork to hand though, and the company (which is a subsidiary of Santander) no longer exists.

I sent a subject access request along with a £10 cheque to Santander asking for the details of the agreement.

I have just received it all back saying they don't keep files over 6 years old (it hasn't been 6 years yet).

I believe it was a 2 year loan, so it would still have been active in 2007, surely details of the agreement would still be on their systems?

Am I screwed because I don't have the original paperwork?

HELP! :(

Santander are normally very good with PPI claims

I'd be inclined to call them:

0845 600 6014 and for PPI complaints its option 2, THEN 3

giving your name/DOB/address and the approx time you took the loan out (I'm assuming you dont know the agreement number?) - they will usually be able to help with a PPI refund from that!

Cheers tifosi, I stand corrected, yeah sometimes I think the banks are deliberately using this an excuse not to send documents to customers, how do we prove it though, bar stewards!!!!
Thanks to all the competition posters.

MrsP8, Don't know which bank you have the letter from, however, most of the 'big' banks have been given 8 weeks to process payments, i'm not sure if this is after they receive your acceptance form, a few posts ago someone was saying the time was made up of allowing 7-14 days to hear back from you, then the rest to actually process the payments.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

I am hoping someone can help with this query, I did post along while ago about this for my friend, but I dont know if any of the maths savvy posters saw it, here are the details,

loan taken out 8/11/99,
origianal loan £5400 at 11.7% for 7 years/ 84 months,
insurance premium £1318.93,
interest £2978.87,
total repayable at £115.45 per month £9697.80,

these are figures of what was paid back, and when, did not know if it makes a difference that she fell behind, had she not had ppi I think the full amount could have been paid back by 2006.

12/1999 - £115.45
1/2000 - £116
10/2001 -£5
11/2001 - 1/2002 - £30 per month
3/2002 -4/2002 - £30 per month
6/2002 - £2
9/2002 - £13
9/2002 - £10

Total paid to Nationwide £411.45,

These payments all went to Nationwide, my friend then and she admits stupidly tried ignoring letters etc and was trying to survive after her partner had walked out on her, but thats another story so I shall not judge her, :) and then finally started paying the dca Roxburghe in 2005, payments to them as follows,

3/8/2005 - £30
31/8/2005 - £30
9/2005 - 12/2005- £30 per month
1/2006 - 2/2006- £5 per month
3/2006 - 4/2006- £30 per month
5/2006 - 6/2006 - £5 per month
7/2006 - 8/2006 - £10 per month
8/2006 - £10
9/2006 - £5
10/2006 - £6505 (this was what Roxburghe agreed to as a settlement figure)

Total paid to Roxburghe £6790.

it appears a total was paid back of £7201.45.
what i am asking is had she not had the ppi put on has she paid the cost of the loan and interest back fully, and if she gets back in touch with nationwide as not heard any thing yet would she be entitled to a rebate as she feels she was missold ppi to begin with. also does anyone have the address to email anyone at nationwide who may be able to tell her why she has heard nothing since the acknowledgement letter in april. many thanks for any help.:D i do have another friend who is now fighting against a rejection against nationwide that heard really quickly from putting the claim, glad i did not bank with them, one rejection for a friend and one not heard a peep for months, lol.

Don't know if anyone could help me here with this one.

For the past 3 years my girlfriend has had a personal loan with Lloyd's and until recently i noticed she was paying PPI on this loan since the start, its not a lot (around £20pm)

So before looking into this more i told her to contact her Lloyds and cancel this and find out how much it actually is.

She was told a new agreement is in the post now and she has to sign it and next month it will removed. all seems ok but.....

is it right PPI is included in the monthly DD so only 1 whole amount comes out to Lloyd's? as i thought it would be separate!

She was told in branch (where she got loan from) that they cant give her a statement and she could not get details apart from when it ends, in branch they could not even say the amount of PPI she was paying.

Any advice would be great and should i do a PPI claim as she was under the impression it had to be included for the offer on the loan she got.

Thank You

You dont cancel ppi on a loan if you are putting a mis sell claim in,the small rebate of ppi they will give you will not be much and the monthly payment wont go down by much, the new agreement may have an increased apr and the loan may have a longer term.
If there is only one payment for the loan including ppi, then the ppi is on the loan monthly payment.
Tell your girlfriend not to sign the new agreement and to ring them and claim mis sell instead,if she wins mis sell, the loan will then have all ppi removed and the monthly ppi amount will come off the monthly payment, your girlfriend will then get all the monthly ppi she has paid to date back with interest.

look here for reasons for mis sell

• Afternoon all,

Rang RBS on THursday to ask why money had still not been transferred and got a rather flippant "you'll have to wait"........ Red Rag time, lost the plot and unloaded. Gentleman put me on hold for ten minutes and then said it would be in by Tuesday. Two minutes later got an e-mail from RBS apologising for delay and it would be sorted ASAP. Money in account by 15:00 that day.

Have to say didn't swear but was very close.

One down one to go...

Keep going everyone.....
