I've received an offer from LloydsTSB, I imagine a lot of people have received this letter. It basically says, please accept what we are GOING to calculate so we can speed up the process. They then outline that this is what they will do:

I should have checked here first, but I accepted anyway, as it looks correct. Does anyone know how long this takes from sending it usually?

Hi, well done and Congratulations!

That does sound right, and if they are to put you back in the position as if no ppi, well done!:T
Mine taken about 28 days after to receive the refund, when they received the signed acceptance.

Don't know if anyone could help me here with this one.

For the past 3 years my girlfriend has had a personal loan with Lloyd's and until recently i noticed she was paying PPI on this loan since the start, its not a lot (around £20pm)

So before looking into this more i told her to contact her Lloyds and cancel this and find out how much it actually is.

She was told a new agreement is in the post now and she has to sign it and next month it will removed. all seems ok but.....

is it right PPI is included in the monthly DD so only 1 whole amount comes out to Lloyd's? as i thought it would be separate!

She was told in branch (where she got loan from) that they cant give her a statement and she could not get details apart from when it ends, in branch they could not even say the amount of PPI she was paying.

Any advice would be great and should i do a PPI claim as she was under the impression it had to be included for the offer on the loan she got.

Thank You

Hi Leon

Your GF should be entitled to statements at any-time on request, they should though send yearly ones automatically, if they have not been doing so, then email them below to ask.
Customer.Care.Insurance@lloydsTsb.co.uk

for a quicker response, copy and email it to the CEO as well here:
antonio.osorio@lloydsbanking.com

They do add the loan within the ppi as one monthly single payment.
To make a reclaim, its exactly the same procedures as on this site, but if you go to lloyds website the details of the reclaim questionnaire are enclosed, also with the address on who to send it to, if you email the complaint, ask them to confirm receipt of receiving this as well.
http://www.lloydstsb.com/payment_protection_insurance_complaints.asp

At this current time they have 16 weeks to make a decision, because the FSA have given these and some other banks more time due to a backlog.
Remember to keep a copy of the reclaim complaint questionnaire as well.

Hope this helps and good luck.:)

Thanks for that lots of help there :)

just one question if you could help with is she was told a new agreement needs signing before they cancel her PPI. is this normal and i would of thought the loan would not need touching/ changing and PPI is a sperate entity. but i maybe wrong :s

Thank you :D

Hi

that ok.;)

I think this is standard, but what I am aware of is that some wait until the reclaim is resolved where then it will automatically be cancelled.....so no signing is required then, because the loan payments will then be reduced as if no ppi at all, where if cancelled after the cooling period the monthly repayments may not be reduced by much, you're GF could ring them to make sure on this first and ask what the new payments would be if cancelled now.

However, please feel free to wait for other opinions if you want to, with mine the main of them were cancelled when they were resolved.:)
