Thanks Di
,
On another note - the first loan was taken out in March 2004, and the second in December 2005.
The first loan therefore falls 1 year out of 6 years - is it still possible to requests the info as a SAR?
Hi
Yes you can, there should hopefully be some details of this loan enclosed. If you were paying for the first loan as well within the last 6 years then there will be details enclosed for sure. xThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hiya
How long ago did you take this out (year)?
If this wasn't the final decision, I would write back and give them further information, if you don't feel they've taken into account the reasons you gave them, tell them so as well and ask them to reconsider.
Normally in the final decision they will suggest the FOS with the details/leaflet if eligible, but if this was sold to you before they became regulated by the FSA, the FOS will not be able to investigate, but they will possibly suggest another avenue as they have done with many of us in this position through the underwriter/insurer.
Hope this helps, good luck.
Hiya thanks for reply
I took the card out instore in 2003.
The letter said they appreciate this may not be the outcome I was expecting but trust that they have addressed all the concerns I raised if I remain dissatisfied with their response I may refer to the Finance & Leasing Association.0 -
hi
any help gratefully received , waiting for figures etc from a upheld claim on two loan ppi premiums . Just remembered i also had repayment protection on a mortgage ( no longer have it ) that i was paying for about 5 years , but chances are never would have been able to claim as i have a pre existing medical complaint . Can i claim for this the same as a loan , and do you use the same template .
thanks

Hi Dean
I would ask about this one to dunstonh, if you post this on a separate thread below, he will not miss this, but he knows how it works on mortgage ppi reclaiming, as far as I know its reclaimable.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi
So they were not regulated by the FSA then but the FLA.
I would then try to FLA, even though they are not normally that helpful, but maybe still worth trying, if this fails then contact the FOS anyway, explain, and at least you can also mention you have already tried the FLA, the FOS may suggest the underwriter/insurer avenue from here.
Good luck.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

so another week has flown by with nothing in the post from the fscs/deloitte for me - after being told on 25th july, and then again on 1st august that it was 'in the post' lol.
i was blagged off again today with 'you will receive the application within the next 1 - 2 weeks as we have pretty much completed going through the backlog of enquiries now'.
now i'm pretty sure thats what they told me 4 weeks ago....... sigh.0 -
