Ok, so 8 weeks ago I sent the form to Egg. I received a letter almost immediately stating they had received my complaint and would be looking into it within 8 weeks. I then received a letter after 4 weeks stating that they were still investigating.
Today I sent them a secure message asking if they had an update on how my complaint was progressing, and I received this reply within 2 hours:
Unfortunately due to the high level of recent PPi complaints your complaint is currently on hold.
We will be in contact with any updates.
Thanks for your message.
Regards
So what does that mean? They're not looking into it until they feel they want to, I'm in a queue?
Anybody else had a response like this?Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

Hiya
Annoying I know but probably backlogs.
Do you know if these are the ones given extra time by the FSA like other banks have?
Keep at them, was it the CEO you emailed, if not then get on to them if you can, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

had almost the same story, id just hang tight for a few more weeks as most banks etc have now been granted 16 weeks to review complaintsor you could take your complaint to the FOS now as the 8 weeks has passed.
but good luck to you;):D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

Just for information really - i contacted the FSCS today re my initial enquiry i put in on 27th june to see if i was likely to receive anything from them soon.
i was informed on the phone that the enquiries have now passed to a different team within the FSCS and this team are dealing with a backlog of enquiries. they have only just started assessing enquiries dating back to the beginning of june so said i should expect a bit of a wait before i hear anything back from them.
I was told it was worth calling every couple of weeks to keep bugging them and to keep up to date on any movements.
jo
Hi jo
Its probably gone to Deloittes who is a team who does the main of the work for the FSCS, deloittes will assses the info and let you know if any further information os required, once they have completed this, they then move it back on to the FSCS, who will then check the details are correct, once finalised, a payment will be prepared.
I used to contact them approx once a week and ask for updates.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

If you are an employee of any of the financial institutions that have de-frauded customers and feel that your employer has behaved badly, you can send your information to the FSA who will investigate further
If you are an employee of a bank wishing to raise your concerns you should of course use the official whistle@fsa.gov.uk address.
I cannot help but feel that most employees are honest and find the back street trading methods of the banks quite disgusting. If you are one of the honest people maybe just reflect on your own principles0 -

Dear Sirs,
PPI
You are no doubt aware that despite the recent court case, Banks are using tactics and excuses to delay payments or not to pay back at all.
This is well highlighted on http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com in the forums section
THE BANKS:
RBS
SANTANDER
LLOYDS
MNBA
CAPITAL ONE
Capital One being the worst offender but according to these forums, it appears the FOS actually backs them and finds in favour of them
The General Public ARE GETTING SERIOUSLY ANNOYED especially as the Banks commmitted fraud by mis-selling PPI's.
The Banks stole money from its customers.
Are you going to just watch while the Banks take the upper hand over you, basically waiving "two fingers" at the government, the Financial Services and the FOS, let alone the High Court.
I suggest you read these forums so you can see at first hand what these Banks are up to.
It is noted that some banks have been given an extension, no doubt they are the ones who committed the largest frauds.
This is a complete scandal and steps should be taken NOW to ensure the banks repay ever penny they stole from their customers in the shortest possible time.0 -
