Hi everyone! I posted earlier but can't find my comment to see if anybody replied (sorry I really don't get this forum but I'm trying)!! I have sent away my first claim form today to RBS. I have a loan with them and according to my paperwork I'm paying over £2500 for ppi! Also had credit cards with capital one and loans with black horse so I'm thinking I should probably claim from them too. Nothing to lose right??!! Just wondering if anyone can tell me when I should expect to receive a response? Probably already noted but like I said, I'm still trying to get the hang of the forum!! Thanks in advance! Ever hopeful xx
And ps- any tips on how this forum works would be appreciated! Honesty I'm not as daft as I sound !

    Hi any help gratefully received
i have a claim ongoing since a year last march , there was 3 or more issues that warranted a missell including a pre existing medical condition .The bank refused my claim so it has been with the fos for the last year .Last dec my adjudicator upheld my claim but the bank still rejected , so since then my claim has been waiting checking before going to the ombudsmann .I know that they have a high caseload but it seems that in the last seven months the claim is in limbo . And its only through my phonecalls that i have found out what is happening as i havent recieved any contact from the fos since last september .I am not a moaner but would appreciate any advice if anyone has gone through similar cicumstances .

    Hi there

Sorry to hear your still waiting.

I do hope you hear something soon, but keep in regular contact with them, have they also mentioned about further redress for distress and inconvenience?
If not then personally this is something you should be entitled too after all this waiting time.

Fingers crossed, please keep us posted, cheers.;)

thanks very much for help , as i said i am not a complainer but to be honest my adjudicator hasnt been doing her job , i know that may sound strong but i was told in january that my claim was waiting to be looked at from them receiving , when in fact it had already been upheld , and rejected by the bank , and sent on to the ombudsmann 2 months prior .I feel that information should have been passed on as early as possible .
there we are rant over , and keep up the good work
    dean

Its frustrating though isn't it, and the waiting for the beginning stages is bad enough and a long time waiting, well if was in one of my cases.

However, with a current one now it will be 3 years this year and its taken until now for them to deal with it and they cannot do anything with it, its a complexed case, but now we have to wait for the ombudsman, that will be in my experience a few months down the line I expect.

But as I said though mine is very complexed, not the usual sort of complaint, so good luck and hope you hear soon.:)

I think RBS now have 16 weeks to deal with your complaint, not sure about the others.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

Hello...as to how forum works...lots of people in similar situations and with vast experience can point you in the right direction...:):)

I would claim for each and every account with any bank where you feel there has been a mis representation as to what PPI might offer you...that means a mis sell, and you have a legitimate claim with the bank.

The banks seem to differ on timelines...but I think, basically, get your claim in..and get the process under way...the judicial review has brought in timelines, however the banks seem to be stalling whenever possible...stay with it, follow the process set out in letter templates, and with all the support here, you will find a real wealth of support in terms of e mail addresses etc..so good luck, and let us know how you are doing!:):)
