PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi all,
Posted my orginal claim for PPI payments to Lloyds TSB ()credit cards ), 5th May 2011, and had the usual acceptance letter back, blah, blah..
On the advice of all here, I have been regularly emailing the CEO & Customer Service team, requesting an update on same.
To cut a long story short, the card goes back to 1988 ( TSB Trustcard ), and they subsequently got back to me, quoting all cards linked to my orginal TSB Trustcard, right up to my existing Lloyds TSB M'Card. Was able to fax them a statement last week, going back to 1996 to prove payment of PPI on same. ( I'm still paying PPI on my current Lloyds TSb M'Card )
As with most on this site, I got the standard letter last week, saying they had been granted an additional 8 weeks to look at my complaint, until August 31st which I accept.
Is it the opinion of the experts here that if my claim was not successful, they would have kicked it out by now, bearing in mind it was they who confirmed all my cards in writing? ie, the longer the wait, the better the opportunity for a successful claim?
Many thanks to all - excellent site! Alan
I think like Di stoutman you'd have heard already i should think if it was going to be kicked out, good luck:)0 -

Hi the interest if upheld should be the interest you paid on each payment of PPI, plus a further 8% to date, and 8% interest to what a court would award, there is also a thread to explain this on how the FOS calculates refunds, minus the further distress compo, this is only received if the case is dealt with by the FOS etc.

Hope this helps and good luck.;)
However, you don't require the figures to make the reclaim, and on request they will send you this through the post. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

If it was repaid within the last 6 years, it will still be showing on his Equifax credit report.
Get him to sign up for the free 30 day trial and request a report (takes 5 minutes if that).
The loan will show on there, but it will only show you the last 4 or 5 digits of the account number.
If you contact the company with this info and they still can't find it, do what I did.
Write to Equifax and dispute the loan being on the credit report, citing that you have contacted the company and they have no records of the loan existing and that you cannot recall it either.
Tell them that you think a mistake has been made.
They then contact the provider and if it is anything like what happened with me, you will get a letter from the loan provider stating that the loan must stay on there as it cannot be removed before 6 years has elapsed.
The loan account number will be on their letter
Bump for anyone that may have missed thisI'm a secret crime fighter0
