Hi

Well I have finally been able to sort this all out - well I think but silly me forgot to ask them what they meant by not telling any third party about it!!!

Well it appears that the £330.56 refund onto my Cap One account wasnt for mis-sold PPI it was for excessive fees, etc (?). Well £274 was for this £55 was for legal costs (?) for claiming them back. So the solicitors (that I didnt realise were involved with Consumer Net) want thier £55 back that Cap One have paid off my balance!!! And Consumet Net want their £25% plus vat!!! I didnt even know they were claiming back excessive fees but apparently all claims companies do this as well as claiming back PPI. My details for claiming mis-sold PPI that Cap One have rejected have been sent off to the FOS apparently! God knows what "extra" charges they will expect me to pay if I get all that back!!! I told them anyway that I didnt have this money as my husband is only working 3 weeks out of 4 so I have gained time with this!!!

So basically I now think that Cap One, Consumet Net and Ashworth Law are all crooks!!!

Also, as stated in a post the other day, Direct Line wrote to us regarding our SAR request stating that they needed to speak to us urgently!!!! I rang them today (took time off work today so sort all this out) and all they wanted me to ring them for was to confirm my date of birth and address!!! These were all on the SAR request anyway so I do think all these companies are just trying time wasting tactics!!!!

Does anyone know have Egg been given this extended 16 weeks as other banks have - I am due to hear from them by the 7th July so just wondering!!

Unfortunately Consumer Net and Ashworth Law are the parasites that prey on helpless people. There is a lot written about them on this site.

You need to clarify what you signed up for and if it was for PPI reclaiming, did they tell you they were claiming for fee charges as well

You are right about one thing though

CAPITAL ONE ARE CROOKS AND THIEVES AND FRAUDULENT

Hi there,

Sorry about not replying earlier, i've been at work all day. I submitted my complaints early December 2010. I emailed the CEO of Lloyds as Black Horse is part of them. I only had to send him a couple of emails then all of a sudden they emailed me to say that an offer letter is in the post which I received the next day. I'm still waiting for my money though, they said it could take up to 8 weeks and its only been 3 so far. :(

Black Horse's email address is : FOS.Queries@Blackhorse.co.uk
Lloyds CEO email address is: antonio.osorio@lloydsbanking.com

Good luck with yours, keep on at them and hopefully you will hear something soon :D

thanxs for your reply emailed coe this morning and got reply just before end of day saying he is responding on his behalf and he would investigate my issues on the email and write to me.
he has also said as one of the loans was in only husbands name he has responded directly with the outcome of his review.does that mean he has decided on that one? did you get same reply from your email?

Hi there,

Who was your email from? My email was from an employee of Black Horse, he is a compliance and risk executive, which said:

"I can confirm an offer letter has been issued in respect of your PPI complaints and should be received by you shortly".

Yours sounds promising though and sounds like he has decided on that one. See it does help to email the CEO! I think if I hadn't I would still be waiting.

Keep us updated and good luck :D

if you havent put in a cancellation yet for the ppi maggie don't, this will extend the loan and is a bad idea, if it's done it's done but if your just thinking about doing it i would'nt, put in a reclaim, claim if misold then let the bank cancel the ppi which will keep your loan straight.

Hi

Thanks for you advice!

I haven't put in the cancellation form. I guess signing the form would say I agree to the terms and I definatley don't agree to paying £885.12 to cancel it!

I have put in the PPI refund claim form and asked it be cancelled on there but had also phoned up separatley to cancel it. So I will be patient and wait until they get to my form.

Thanks again fingers crossed Barclays start the refund process soon. :)

Hi all,

I'm helping my Dad claim back mis-sold PPI but i've got to one thats a bit tricky, so I hope someone can help :D
My Dad took out 2 mortgage loans with iGroup (i've now discovered they are GE Money). So sent 2 complaint forms to GE Money. Received letters today saying "I note that whilst GE Money provided the finance to you for your PPI, GE Money did not sell it to you". So they have forwarded one onto Capital One Home Owner Loans Ltd because they sold the PPI to him. The other one was sold by Standard Alliance Mortgage Company Ltd, but they were unable to forward it on because they do not hold an accurate forwarding address for them.
I've searched the net and found an address but I don't know if it is still active. I also found an email address which is no longer active. I've checked the FSA register and it says "No longer authorised".
Has anyone else had any dealings with them? Or know if Standard Alliance Mortgage Company are still around?

Any help and advice would be great. Thanks in advance :D
