    Hi all,

I'm helping my Dad claim back mis-sold PPI but i've got to one thats a bit tricky, so I hope someone can help :D
My Dad took out 2 mortgage loans with iGroup (i've now discovered they are GE Money). So sent 2 complaint forms to GE Money. Received letters today saying "I note that whilst GE Money provided the finance to you for your PPI, GE Money did not sell it to you". So they have forwarded one onto Capital One Home Owner Loans Ltd because they sold the PPI to him. The other one was sold by Standard Alliance Mortgage Company Ltd, but they were unable to forward it on because they do not hold an accurate forwarding address for them.
I've searched the net and found an address but I don't know if it is still active. I also found an email address which is no longer active. I've checked the FSA register and it says "No longer authorised".
Has anyone else had any dealings with them? Or know if Standard Alliance Mortgage Company are still around?

Any help and advice would be great. Thanks in advance :D

    Hiya

In regards of the GE case, I would write to make sure the complaint is received if you can.

And if your unable to track down an address, I would contact the FOS who may have the correct details and who should get it right straight away, I have taken a look but to no avail at the moment, the FOS may have had dealings with them, so will forward the address details to you, just explain you are dealing with a case on behalf of your dad and you require an address of a company that your unable to currently trace.

Good luck to your dad and you too.;)

    Hi all,
Posted my orginal claim for PPI payments to Lloyds TSB ()credit cards ), 5th May 2011, and had the usual acceptance letter back, blah, blah..
On the advice of all here, I have been regularly emailing the CEO & Customer Service team, requesting an update on same.
To cut a long story short, the card goes back to 1988 ( TSB Trustcard ), and they subsequently got back to me, quoting all cards linked to my orginal TSB Trustcard, right up to my existing Lloyds TSB M'Card. Was able to fax them a statement last week, going back to 1996 to prove payment of PPI on same. ( I'm still paying PPI on my current Lloyds TSb M'Card )
As with most on this site, I got the standard letter last week, saying they had been granted an additional 8 weeks to look at my complaint, until August 31st which I accept.
Is it the opinion of the experts here that if my claim was not successful, they would have kicked it out by now, bearing in mind it was they who confirmed all my cards in writing? ie, the longer the wait, the better the opportunity for a successful claim?

Many thanks to all - excellent site! Alan
