hi i recently made a massive mistake by using the claim guys to reclaim my ppi i had over 30000 of loans through welcome finance after severall weeks i had a offer which was aprox 850 claim guys fees being 30 % plus vat so means i get just over 500 i never recived a breakdown but was told it was because i paid the loans early so i agrreed to this they was paid by bacs last tue and i was told i would recive a cheque fri sat no cheque several phone calls later i am told today the dont issue a cheque untill 3 weeks later after they recvied the funds even tho it was bacs ov i am not happy how can they do this when the money is mine they have there fee and should pay staright away what they owe to you
Well done on your win :T:T
Ring the company and tell them a bacs credit takes 3 working days and you would like your money in the next 3 days, or you will take this further.

Also ring FSCS and ask them for a copy of the breakdown of your refund and let them know you have not recieved a breakdown from this company, this is out of order.
http://www.fscs.org.uk/contact-us/

I cant believe they did not give you a breakdown of your refund, this is strange, hope they are not pulling a fast one:mad:

This is sad, as the FSCS are dealing with Welcome ppi now,the company you used are not daft are they? they have got 30% plus vat for doing nothing!!!! this makes me sick to the stomach.

Leeches the lot of em:mad::mad:

Thank you Cappo...encouragement is always welcome...I am one of many struggling with Capital One..who seem to be experts in dodging bullets!!

Isn't it great, though, when people do get a settlement..? Reading so many posts about banks lying about PPI on accounts, stalling for time, telling us they don't have account numbers....how on earth do they get away with it? We live in a regulatory world..it just should not be this hard!...( Rant over...;) )

Thank goodness for this forum, though...what a great resource!!:):):)

Hi citibird i'm having my share of fun with them at the moment,it's with the ombudsman, the adjudicator could'nt see any problem with the way the ppi had been sold by cap 1 (can you believe that) so i progressed it to the ombudsman and will just have to hope he or she has a brain(unlike the adjudicator)now going to sar LTSB thursday, still no confirmation of ppi on my credit card which i know i had so we'll sar them and see as you say, you should'nt have to have to go to these extremes should you.

nope aint got a clue :( x
• Hi any help gratefully received
i have a claim ongoing since a year last march , there was 3 or more issues that warranted a missell including a pre existing medical condition .The bank refused my claim so it has been with the fos for the last year .Last dec my adjudicator upheld my claim but the bank still rejected , so since then my claim has been waiting checking before going to the ombudsmann .I know that they have a high caseload but it seems that in the last seven months the claim is in limbo . And its only through my phonecalls that i have found out what is happening as i havent recieved any contact from the fos since last september .I am not a moaner but would appreciate any advice if anyone has gone through similar cicumstances .

Hi there, Cappo....I seem to be on the same trail as you...having started with a claims outfit...( received a big NO)...knew nothing of this until started my own claim...sent off to fos in March, so can expect a long process...:(

I hope you get to hear something positive soon, I am astonished that Cap One selling has not been highlighted as dubious!

Also, fingers crossed for you with your other claims...keep at them! :) x

Can you remember what the total loan monthly payment was.

If you can and with the figures you gave earlier,Marshalljka or Robbedof, our resident maths wizards can work out the ppi and tell you what you will get back.

You could send an email to FOS and put for attention of Natalie Cheney, explain what has happened and that you are not happy about the situation and you have had no updates.
complaint.info@financial-ombudsman.org.uk

This is disgusting, when the FOS tell the banks to keep customers updated and they dont.

Seems like it is do as i say and not as i do!!.
No wonder the banks get away with what they do.

thanks very much for help , as i said i am not a complainer but to be honest my adjudicator hasnt been doing her job , i know that may sound strong but i was told in january that my claim was waiting to be looked at from them receiving , when in fact it had already been upheld , and rejected by the bank , and sent on to the ombudsmann 2 months prior .I feel that information should have been passed on as early as possible .
there we are rant over , and keep up the good work

You are welcome, dont let this go and send the email.
Sometimes i think that they dont know what they are doing, this was upheld and you should not have to jump through hoops because the damn bank wont play ball, let me know how you get on.
