Has anyone had any success with Virgin Money? Apologies if there are posts referencing it..just haven't seen any.
Any feedback at all on these guys would be really helpful for me, thanks.:)
Hi
I've had my claim upheld with Virgin Credit card (MBNA). I'm still waiting on my cheque however they've been the quickest to sort out my claim (got various on the go with other banks!). My claim was put in back in March. hope this helps0 -
I now have a total of 8 complaints lodged, can't believe I was so stupid!! To date I have complained to:-
1/ Santander about a Dorothy Perkins store card formerly owned by GE Money. They have sent me a final response letter rejecting my complaint, I have emailed their CEO asking him to reconsider and have also the wheels in motion with the Ombudsman to complain to the underwriter, I have also appealed this to the FLA.
2/ MBNA a credit card my husband had, had no response from them at all despite sending the original complaint on 14th June, have resent the information and emailed their CEO.
3/ Santander are to send me out information about a computer bought from Time Computers on HP through a company called First National. I am not overly hopeful of this as the lady on the phone was very vague, and my 6 year deadline expires in Nov this year, I am quite certain I paid PPI on this of between £800 and £1,000 but can't find any documentation.
4/ Barclaycard They have replied saying it will take 16 weeks. An indian lady told me on the phone that I had never had PPI yet I found it on old statements, so I have emailed the CEO today asking him to investigate the fact that I was told lies by a member of his sales team.
5/ MnS money about a loan for £5,000 which I paid £1,024 PPI, have recieved a reply from them saying it will take 16 weeks to investigate.
6/ Mn S money for a storecard, only posted on Sunday as yet no reply.
7/ MBNA for an old Alliance and Leicester Credit Card, I did send the complaint on 14th June to Alliance and LEicester but have had no reply so I telephoned them on Friday and a lady told me I don't have to send anything someone from their insurance team will call me.
8/ RBS a credit card in my husbands name. Got the standard 16 week time scale reply.0 -

hi, ive been trying to go through my loan figures to work out how much i would potentially be awarded if my claim is upheld - but getting in a complete mess here - anybody a maths whizz who might have some insight? it all starts to go pear shaped with me when it comes to working out interest!!!!! ive put as many details as possible below - any assistance would be much appreciated!!!!
- Loan taken out in october 2005.
- loan amount £46,000 + £11,477 ppi (total loan amount £57,477)
- loan to be repaid over 240 months at 7.2% apr variable.
- received a ppi no claims refund of £2,800.39 in year 3, £1,680.23 in year 4, and £1,120.16 in year 5 - so a total refund overall of £5600.78
thanks to anyone who can help out/direct me to someone who can!!!!

Thanks, Jax...not only for sharing the info...but also for giving positive news!
Wouldn't it be great if just one claim was settled ( in my favour of course;) )...quickly and efficiently?
Let me know how you get on receiving your payment...hope it's trouble free :T0 -

Thank you Cappo...encouragement is always welcome...I am one of many struggling with Capital One..who seem to be experts in dodging bullets!!
Isn't it great, though, when people do get a settlement..? Reading so many posts about banks lying about PPI on accounts, stalling for time, telling us they don't have account numbers....how on earth do they get away with it? We live in a regulatory world..it just should not be this hard!...( Rant over...;) )
Thank goodness for this forum, though...what a great resource!!:):):)0
