    Hi everyone,

sent off 2 Lloyds ppi claims on 5th June and got the standard reply saying they have 16 weeks to reply. Has anyone actually had any money back from Lloyds recently and if so how long did it actually take?
Also can anyone point me in the direction of the reason why it was wrong for them to add the premium to the loan and add interest on top?

    Thanks

    Hiya

Mine via Lloyds was put in before Xmas 2010 and I was successful just a few weeks ago, this was actually before the FSA given banks permission to have extra weeks.
Even though they have stated 16 weeks, its possible they may resolve before then, wishing you luck.

There should be more details of your query on Martin's guidelines.;)

Hi - my husband received a letter back from Black Horse today. He doesnt really understand it all and is starting to get quite frustrated. We couldnt find any details of his loan with Black Horse so sent off a cheque for £10 with the standard SAR letter and today they have sent it all back (again this is the second time we have tried as the first time we just sent £1 asking for the agreement, etc). The letter states that "I have been undertaking searches of our systems and unfortunately I have not been able to locate an agreement for you with the information that you have provided. In order that we may comply with your request please provide us a valid agreement number with any further information, for example any previous address that may assist us in locating your details. Once we have located your agreement we will send the infrormation that you have requested. Please find enclosed your original request and £10 payment with this letter, which can be re-issued to us with any furture correspondence you send.

We dont have the agreement number and have lived at this address since 1986 - so is that it can we not continue with the claim any further? I was under the impression that if we requested a SAR and enclosed the £10 they had to find the account details - or have I got that wrong too.

Also we sent off another couple of SAR requests with £10 but none of them have been cashed in yet. Do you think we have maybe done something wrong?

Hi dizzy i received an identical story from them i contacted the ceo and kicked off a bit, they suddenly found me 3 account numbers but i'm still having a battle royal with them to get my credit card ppi details out of them as they still say i havent got it which is a load of @rap,pester them mightily and be a general pain to them you'll get your details

I complained to the FOS last week but I've no idea how long they take to respond. I think Cap 1 are hoping peaople like us will get fed up and go away . I intend carrying on.
Good luck contacting the CEO - I'll do the same if I get no joy from the FOS
    Kayx

for all the guys on here i don't know whats going on with cap 1 and the fos as all the fos seem to tell you is that the sale was "non advised" they wiped the floor with me (adjudicator) i was that insensed despite the adjudicator trying to talk me round,i've now progressed my complaint to the ombudsman,i'm not expecting great things but you could blow a hole through the adjudicators reasoning i'm hoping that unlikely as it sounds the ombudsman see's sense although they don't normally disagree with there adjudicators

Wohoo just to let you know I have had a phone call from the claims company dealing with my HFC PPi and they have awarded me £1350.
Also JD Williams Simply be sent me a final notice refusing my claim, so I rang them today and spoke to the claims manager.
I argued that I did not take out the PPi over the phone and asked if they had transcripts of the phone calls, she said they had, but after listening to me politely stating my case and the fact that the letter said I had benefited from the PPI(never claimed) It was called PAP(Personal account protection)She agreed to refund my PPi and was very nice after I stated that I was in the process of sending my documents to the ombudsman.
Please don't give up if you are waiting , keeping calling for updates as advised by these brilliant folks on this site.Thank youxxx

    Hi all,

Well I emailed the CEO of Lloyds at the weekend to chase up my 3 ongoing complaints with them, earliest one being since December 2010. Had a missed call off Halifax Monday and Tuesday but no voicemails left. I emailed the CEO again last night explaining that I work in a Hospital therefore can't answer my phone and would be grateful if someone could email me instead. Haven't heard anything today, but did receive a letter from Halifax dated 27th June basically saying my 3 complaints are logged on their systems and I will have a response by end August.
Thats not good enough really, it means my complaints would of taken them over 8 months to deal with. I feel like i'm getting nowhere with Halifax.
Should I just try to be patient and hope my turn will come soon? Or shall I email the CEO again? If so what can I say this time?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

could i just confirm some information please?
as my secured loan is still running (and will be for another 14 years), would any reclaimed ppi through the fscs be paid off my loan amount outstanding, or would i receive a cheque if successful in my claim?
i only ask because we are currently on a dmp, and it almost feels that money to help pay off the multiple creditors we are dealing with through this would be better than money coming off the outstanding loan amount. are there ways to request something different to the norm, in cases such as this?

I would think that any recovered money would go towards your loan, if your rebate paid off your loan you would then get any difference as a cheque or paid into a nominated account of your choice (with certain banks).
