I have 7 loan claims with Halifax dating back to 1997 and a Credit Card with Halifax dating back to 1997.

Also have a loan with HSBC dating back to 2006 and a credit card with HSBC from around the same period.

I'm at about the 6 week stage with both and within the last 2 weeks I received the 16 week letters, so I guess I will know the outcome by 31st August at the latest.

I can't help imagining the scale of figures that could be involved, despite telling myself to expect nothing and anything is a bonus lol.

Has anyone had final responses early from HBOS and HSBC, ie within the 16 week period.

I appreciate that I wrote to the providers far later than most of you (around 12 May this year), however I am an impatient bloke at the best of times and this could allow me to be debt free, mortgage excepted of course.

This is assuming that they don't just tell me to jog on.

Hi ianc and welcome, i have 8 claims with hsbc going on at the moment, they are very very slow i put 3 in before the jr and i've not heard a dickie bird,i have heard though things are finally starting to move, expect the banks to take all of the time the fsa gives them although some cases might be quicker i had a LTSB claim processed in only 3 weeks.

Does anyone have an email address for MBNA? I was sent a letter about 6 weeks ago giving me good news about a payout from my Virgin Credit Card for approx £1500!!! :j (Happy days!). The letter stated I would have a cheque within 28 days. I've called MBNA however they've not been much help and said they would pass my information on to the PPI complaints dept to deal with and someone will contact me in the next 5 days!!! I did ask to be transferred to someone within the dept but said they could not do that but someone will contact me and let me know whats happening. Would be great if anyone has an email address - I could send them an email and hopefully get my cheque sometime soon! Thanks :D

You seem very clued up with the PPI claims, have you seen anyone mention that HBOS or HSBC have written regarding the 16 week extension and replied/paid early?

I'm only 6 weeks into my complaints, but I am soooooo impatient :rotfl:
Hi there, this will take time, people have posted to say how slow HSBC and BOS are, let the banks get on with it and hopefully all claims will be paid out by the deadline and i would think before as well ;)

Well done on your win :j have you checked your cc if it is still running, to see if they have credited it to your card?.
If not, then i would keep phoning ,they will soon get fed up and pay you just to shut you up :D:D:D

On MBNA website the only email is the internal one that you have to log into through your account,Di may know the email address if she has it, i am sure she will post up if she does.

    Hi there

Good luck on your reclaiming and hope you hear sooner rather than later, as they may still resolve your case before the extended timescales given by the FSA.

But for your records I have a emal addy here for you if you don't already have this, hope it works ok if you intend to use it, good luck and fingers crossed.;)

Hi All - I posted on 20th May about my PPI reclaim.
I sent two letter off - recorded delivery, both were signed for at Santander but I have only had a reply to one. Should I re-send the other letter, docs, etc or can it take longer than 4 weeks for them to reply????
    Cheers

    Hi there

As amersall says, you may here soon, but there is no harm done by ringing to check.;)
Just a though, did they apply 2 different claim numbers for 2 perhaps?

Mine via Lloyds even though 2 reclaims went in the same time, there was one case number for 2, but they were still treated separately, worth checking though to make sure.

    Good luck.
