You are quite entitled to moan as much as you like, especially as it is Lloyds.
The pendulum has at long last turned a full circle and the mis sold policies scandal will eventually get resolved and you will get your just rewards. The fact that you will have to wait a little longer is going to be well worth it and, compared to other things in life, hopefully a few more weeks will not affect you too much. I appreciate that you are suffering financially and this should work in your favour if Lloyds do decide to drag their heels.
If it any consellation to you I began my fight with Lloyds TSB back in October 2007 when I first claimed mis sell against PPI and Lloyds only knew the words no, no and no.
My case went to the FOS who found in my favour and although Lloyds disagreed, the Ombudsman put them in their place and I was reimbursed going back to the 80's.
The FOS are still fighting the way in which Lloyds calculated my redress and it is now 3 years, 7 months and 28 days since I started my fight.
All I can say is don't get disheartened and, more importantly, don't give up or give in.
You will get great help and support on here, as I found out, especially with Di and Amersall.
We are all in this together and always keep that thought close to your heart.
Well hello bugsy :j:j:j:j long time no speak :D:D:p:p

Yes, patience is a virtue, and we get there in the end ;););)
We are in this together :cool::cool::D unlike the tories and libdems
    We really are :rotfl::rotfl::A

My Barclays Small Business Manager, when as a Self-Employed person I was asking for a mortgage on some business premises for my wife's new venture, told me there was no way he'd OK a mortgage for me unless I took out a Barclay Life Insurance policy to pay off the mortgage in the unlikely event of my death; so I complied. Well, you do don't you. He also never told me I could have bought a similar product elsewhere. I had never previously had life insurance even though I had had a mortgage before, & now that the mortgage in question has been repaid, not had one since.
I've looked all over the site & nowhere can I find this instance covered as a case of PPI misselling.
I will be contacting Barclays & have downloaded the templates but, can anyone advise me if I have a case in principle & has my particular variation been covered or discussed elsewhere on this excellent forum & website?

sorry pilchardsmoney it's not ppi something totally different

I have 7 loan claims with Halifax dating back to 1997 and a Credit Card with Halifax dating back to 1997.

Also have a loan with HSBC dating back to 2006 and a credit card with HSBC from around the same period.

I'm at about the 6 week stage with both and within the last 2 weeks I received the 16 week letters, so I guess I will know the outcome by 31st August at the latest.

I can't help imagining the scale of figures that could be involved, despite telling myself to expect nothing and anything is a bonus lol.

Has anyone had final responses early from HBOS and HSBC, ie within the 16 week period.

I appreciate that I wrote to the providers far later than most of you (around 12 May this year), however I am an impatient bloke at the best of times and this could allow me to be debt free, mortgage excepted of course.

This is assuming that they don't just tell me to jog on.

Title it mortgage ppi and the people on there will help you with this,as it is different to ppi on a loan or cc.

Life cover to cover a mortgage is nothing to do with PPI.

All lenders require you to have it in place as if you die, they want re-assurance that the debt will be repaid.

You cannot claim for taking this out and the adviser actually did the right thing as your dependents would have been liable for the outstanding debt and trust me, during probate that is a nightmare.

Hi All - I posted on 20th May about my PPI reclaim.
I sent two letter off - recorded delivery, both were signed for at Santander but I have only had a reply to one. Should I re-send the other letter, docs, etc or can it take longer than 4 weeks for them to reply????
    Cheers

You seem very clued up with the PPI claims, have you seen anyone mention that HBOS or HSBC have written regarding the 16 week extension and replied/paid early?

I'm only 6 weeks into my complaints, but I am soooooo impatient :rotfl:
