Hi bear we've had this before,i might be wrong but i don't think you would have ppi covering an overdraft,i've certainly not known overdrafts to be covered this isn't an asu (accident, sickness, unemployment) policy is it?

Hi, it will be something like a PPI. Bear if you still have the policy, read through it carefully to see if in your circumstances, you were covered.
If not and a bank sold it you, then they would already know your circumstances so you could still claim mis-selling

    Who is the bank ?

    Hi there,

    Good point made here...

I have only been with the forum a short time, and it's clear that Capital One are one of the worst offenders in terms of lying to their customers, treating them badly, or downright stealing from them.

It might be worth gathering numbers of reclaims from the forum, what we need to see from Cap One, is the same, "no quibble" promise that Barclays issued. ( Whether they would honour it, may be another matter) but it's obviously time that they were exposed for their sharp practice!....The only excuse they haven't given, is that the dog ate the paperwork!!:rotfl::rotfl:

It's also reassuring to see some success in reclaim from Cap One, it was starting to look as though sending claims through to fos was fruitless!!

We just have to keep at them.....:)

Capital One offer a "no quibble" promise :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Not sure if Barclays are really doing that

We are exposing Capital One here .... EVERY DAY, the word is spreading that they cannot be trusted and are scam artists. Just because 1000's of people are not writing here does not mean the message is not getting out ... word and mouth is very powerful. I must have told at least 60 people about Capital One, these plebs have only themselves to blame now for scamming the public

    Hiya All
Been reading these forums for some time now and taken some positive action from all the comments and success stories so thankyou. My latest challenge is with Capital One...Joy
Long story short is that i challenged the PPI in the usual way and got the usual 8 weeks looking into it letter etc.
When i signed the agreement in 1997 and kept a copy for my records clearly showing "i did not require PPI".I sent this copy with the forms only to get a reply saying that i accepted PPI in 2002 during a telephone conversation(March2002)and through a adminstration error they never took the PPI out until June that Year.
I guess i could go through FOS as i have the evidence just wondered if anyone had a short cut i.e phoning them direct and challenging the PPI being added 3 years later etc.
My challenge would be along the lines of they should have not pestered me with PPI sale 3 years later as i clearly stated from day one i did not require it.
    Any helped is much appreciated
    Thankyou
    Hello,
Your story is the same as mine.
Did not sign the PPI form in 2003 but was told I agreed to PPI when I rang to activate a card in 2005. I cannot remember doing this and asked them to provide a transcript of the phone call. They wrote back saying they could not do so.
Wrote to them again last week and complained to the FOS stating I did not require it in the first place why would this change.
    Will keep you informed

OMG .. Is this Capital One again ?

If you did not agree and they cannot prove otherwise, again it is theft and fraud, so demand your money back.

Tell you what folks, with all this about Capital One, and I think it's just the tip of the iceberg, they must be investigated by the Fruad Squad

Was patiently waiting to hear back from Lloyds about ppi on two credit cards. After having the standard letter about "dealing with my complaint and it may take up to eight weeks" I was at week seven and thinking something may happen soon. Then yesterday I got another standard letter saying it may take up to sixteen weeks. I see from other posts that this is quite normal but does any one else feel that whatever their time limit they will take all of it. I appreciate they are probably snowed under with complaints but at the end of the day its their mess and its our money they are holding on to. I'm having a bit of a hard time financially at the moment, like many people are and wish all this waiting was over. Sorry to all those who have been waiting a lot longer than me, just needed to have a moan lol

You are quite entitled to moan as much as you like, especially as it is Lloyds.
The pendulum has at long last turned a full circle and the mis sold policies scandal will eventually get resolved and you will get your just rewards. The fact that you will have to wait a little longer is going to be well worth it and, compared to other things in life, hopefully a few more weeks will not affect you too much. I appreciate that you are suffering financially and this should work in your favour if Lloyds do decide to drag their heels.
If it any consellation to you I began my fight with Lloyds TSB back in October 2007 when I first claimed mis sell against PPI and Lloyds only knew the words no, no and no.
My case went to the FOS who found in my favour and although Lloyds disagreed, the Ombudsman put them in their place and I was reimbursed going back to the 80's.
The FOS are still fighting the way in which Lloyds calculated my redress and it is now 3 years, 7 months and 28 days since I started my fight.
All I can say is don't get disheartened and, more importantly, don't give up or give in.
You will get great help and support on here, as I found out, especially with Di and Amersall.
We are all in this together and always keep that thought close to your heart.

I have claims on hold due to JR with M&S Money(2)Opus Cards(1) (although my account was with Citibank and closed before Opus took the cards over) and with Barclays(3). I know I fall in the Barclays "no quibble" refund period.

When I call the above I get fobbed off with could be days/weeks/months etc... I had been told this by RBS but when I emailed the CEO got a refund offer within 10 working days.

Is it worth emailing all the CEO's ? Has anyone had any success with these banks by doing this? Getting really fed up with the waiting, particularly as it is so long now since the JR.

    Hiya

    Its frustrating isn't it?
And now with being given extra time by the FSA - due to backlogs because of the Judicial Review matter previously.

However, I do feel that mine was dealt with quicker than assumed because I did keep on and nag Lloyds, mine was with them before Xmas 2010, and was successful just a few weeks ago, previously being told it could take longer.
So basically what I did was email the Customer Care team and always copied them to the CEO.

Hope you hear soon, keep at them.;)

As bugsy says it will be sorted out, just think of the interest if you prove misold as Di and myself think if you had a weak case it would probably have been rejected by now, you've come this far,you might as well keep going now, keep strong you'll get there.
