thanks Amersall - just called the FOS and they are raising a complaint for me which will take at least 8 weeks !!

Lombard are sending me .." the few bits of paper we still have.." ! so i will have to take it from there...its gonna take ages i think !!
Good luck with this, and let me know how you get on.

Hi all - this is my first post so apologies if i go over old ground !

I recently sent off a £1 P/O to Lombard Bank requesting a copy of my original loan agreement.

Today i received a letter asking to call their SARS team which i did..

I was then told that my original documentation was lost in a fire !!

Now, i live less than a 2 minute drive from the lombard head office in enfield and i do not remember any fires there !!!

Has anyone else experienced this or are they blatantly winding me up?

    Any advice would be appreciated..

    thanks

    steve

    Hi Steve

You could contact the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) and see what they have to say, details below.

But if you know your account number, know you were paying PPI, and also mis sold it you can still make a reclaim, hmmmmm seems they will have to take your word for it if they have nothing to go by due to a fire..........think you got my drift.;)

Step 3 to the reclaim questionnaire.

Complete and send, keep a copy for yourself and allow 8 weeks for a decision, good luck.

Here contact details to the ICO, they will or should be aware of a fire I would assume, check it out and good luck.

Further to my earlier notes, I went through Lloyds' own process to complain about PPI misselling on 5 May. I am still waiting to hear from them. They did send another letter to say "they are still dealing with it and will be back to me within 4 weeks with their decision" but I am still waiting. Not sure how long I wait before I contact them (it has been about 4 weeks now since last letter). Anyway, might call them, will let you know how I get on. sal x

    Hiya

Yes call them and ask them for an update, no harm in doing that, or even email them if you want to.

However, please be aware they have been given extra time to deal with complaints, the banks have been given permission by the FSA to deal with the backlog since the JR matter.

    Keep at them, good luck.;)

    Hi!

I had an A & L loan which finished in 2005. I rang Santander who gave me the following address: ARCHIVES TEAM, SANTANDER, PO BOX 1111, BRADFORD, BD1 9NQ. I sent for my copy of agreement on 03/06/11 but havn't had a reply.
On Di's advice I rang Santander today on 0845 600 6014 to see if I could get the Account No. etc & spoke to a lady who told me it is the right number but only available between 9-5. She advised me to ring back tomorrow and press option 2 and option 2.

Going to try in my lunch break tomorrow. I will let you know how I get on! Wish me luck!!
