Hi I have just started my claims at the beginning of the week, but, I have just had a reply from Barclaycard saying they will only be able to locate my statements by card number, because I paid up the cards I shredded them long ago. Can anyone tell me if this is just a delay tactic, as I still live at the same address or will I have to provide these details before they can proceed?0

I,m sorry to say this is probably another delaying tactic,we've seen so many lately, call into a barclays branch and ask the bank staff to check there customer computer systems, failing that put in a sar (subject access request) if you are after all the data a bank holds on you,if you are after something specific you could cca (consumer credit agreement) them, the sar's are £10.00 fee and the cca is £1.00,i feel it's fair to say at the risk of sounding cynical that the banks since the judicial review seem to be using these stalling tactics a lot now, good luck and keep at em.:)0 -

You should hear shortly, give them another few days then contact them again,as far as i know halifax havent been given an extension on processing complaints so they should either give you a decision or tell you of your option to go to the fos.0 -

I agree with Cappo, it is very clear that the banks are taking the p***out of the High Court. They are also taking the p*** out of the FSA AND FOS. Barclays said "no quibble" and if they also use delaying tactics, the credibility they may have gained will simply fall out of the window.
I guess it will not be too long before the FSA and FOS get furious with the current rubbish the banks are using.
This will create even more work for the FOS, I wonder how they will handle that ? :beer:0 -

Hi everyone,
Firstly, congratulations to all the recent successes! :j:T
Just wondered if anyone knows the address for MINT? I'm doing my Dad's PPI complaints and sent the FOS questionnaire about 2 weeks ago. I'm now wondering if I had the right address or Royal Mail have managed to lose it.
Thanks in advance0 -
Hi everyone, I am a new poster but have been reading this forum for several weeks and I have finally summoned up the courage to post a question so I hope this is readable.
I had a store card for Evans (run by GE) set up in 1995, which was then taken over by Santander. I tried claiming back PPI at the end of 2009 but received what I now know to be a fob-off letter, so I re-submitted my PPI claim mid-May 2011 on the grounds of not asking about employment and not advising me that it was optional. I have a copy of the original agreement (kindly supplied by Santander in 2009) which clearly shows a line through the employment questions and a big "A" which I take to mean approved. Santander have just sent me a letter saying that they can find no trace of original
paperwork or the agreement and that they always followed the current financial guidelines so were rejecting my claim and referring me to the FLA.
So, do I carry on and send them a copy of the original agreement and say look harder or do I go to the FLA (who are they?)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and if there is an email address for Santander or the CEO I can get things going today.0
