The same Di you can't believe them can you, i've given them 14 days to send me a agreement via emai lor hardcopy pref both or i will sar the bank have now sent two emails with cc's to antonio again, they just never give up trying it on do they, they would'nt spend 3 weeks finding out you had no ppi would they,i thought i could do this easily,i don't think it's going to be the case.

Cappo did they tell you by email that you did have ppi or by telephone?
If by email and you've saved it, forward that on as well just to prove what you was previously told.

By letter Di,they said that they would be investigating my complaints re cc separatly, they did interestingly say within 2 days of the complaint that i had no ppi on a small loan which i thought made sense, but a £2000.00 limit on a credit card no ppi?,nah

  • Just read that HSBC has now been granted an extension to handle the back log of claims, odd considering they apparently stopped selling PPI some years ago (or so I've been told), you'd think that they would have far fewer claims to deal with (which I assume is why the amount of money the bank put aside to cover the claims was far less than the other high street banks).
Don't get me wrong I fully agree that the back log before the end of the Judicial review should be dealt with first. But lets be honest rather than them getting extra time they should be forced to employ more staff (i know they have done so to an extent) and it should cost them (in extra wages) to speed up the process. Once again the customer is expected to wait whilst their funds make the banks yet more money, it's outrageous really.
When the boot was on the other foot and I owed HSBC a small fortune I was never offered any kind of extension to the time scale and I didn't expect them to be patient with money that I owed them.
Post the bank charges reclaiming fiasco it was not really surprising that a lot of people didn't put a claim in before the JR outcome, because lets be honest people thought it might go in the banks favour again. I find it slightly annoying that Barclays is going to treat the claims coming in after the JR differently than those trapped in the back log, it suggests that they believe that those who claimed afterwards have jumped on the band wagon and aren't genuine.

Don't misunderstand me I think it's fantastic that people will get their money back (and I hope eventually I am one of them), but something about what has happened since the JR stinks!

    Phew rant over:rotfl:
