This implies mis-selling but would they then look at my husbands contract at the time as this was a joint mortgage? He had some sickness cover but not the same comprehensive cover that I had at that time (I worked for a major insurance company - spot the irony in that!) Also does anyone have a contact for Tesco (cards and loans)? Help and advice much appreciated! Thank you
Hi there
With it being a mortgage ppi, Dunstonh and/or MagpieCottage should have advice for this one, so in this case as I've also done in the above post is leave a new thread/separately, so it won't be missed.
Please feel free to post on this matter on the new thread below, by also giving it a title "Mortgage PPI claim advice"
Good luck.

Hi there
with mine via Lloyds, I have been told 21 days as from when they receive the signed acceptance forms.
You could however, check directly with Customer Service here who should be able to confirm this for you, good luck.
And your very welcome, also Congratulations!

My Ex has recieved a claim form from Fscs to reclaim PPI on a joint secured loan that we had. The loan was paid in full in 2007 when we sold our house. When i contacted WFSL to ask for a claim form as i had not recieved one (have since remarried and moved from forwarding address.) they told me that the common misconception is that the PPI covers both parties on the loan but it doesnt it only covers one person and that is the first named applicant on the loan.
I asked for a copy of the loan agreement and i am the first named applicant on the loan (they did not send a copy of the PPI agreement).
i think the EX has filled in the form and sent it back. where do i stand?
The second named borrower is covered for life.
You are entitled to 50% of this money and if i were you i would inform the FSCS of this, i am sure,( if i am wrong someone will correct me) that both signatures will be needed for this claim, look after your interests and make sure you get your half.0 -

You will be fine, you need to sit back and wait for the claim to take its course.
Front loaded ppi is a mis sell, you have a good chance, try not to get too stressed
it wont help at all, and nothing is worth getting stressed about:D:D:D
If you need any help at all then just ask, we are here for you every step of the way xxx.
:j Can't tell you how much my spirits have been lifted thank you so much and i promise to keep you posted.0 -

Hi everyone,
Congratulations to you all who has had success over the past few days! They seem to be rolling in now, and about time too!!
Well after my success with Black Horse a week ago, i've been patiently waiting to hear from Halifax regarding 3 complaints with them. But still nothing! So I sent another email to the CEO this evening, we will see what happens. I will keep at them because i'm sure it was this that prompted Black Horse to deal with my complaints all of a sudden. I will let you know the response I get.
That's great news about Barclays. Shame i only sent my FOS questionnaire to them on 27th May! But that was their stalling tactics after waiting so long to receive a copy of my agreement and also being told by them that I didn't have PPI when I very clearly did!! I am still to receive confirmation from them and I know it got there because I sent it recorded delivery. How long after do they usually acknowledge complaints? I emailed their customer services last friday and still waiting a reply, so sent a letter today.0
