Hello there -
Apologies if this question's already been posed and answered.
Can credit card companies charge you PPI without it showing up on your monthly statements? I'm about to send off template letters asking for my original credit agreements but thought I'd check this first.
Very grateful for all info/advice received.
Best wishes

Hi there
And yes I think so going by some past posts on here.
Wishing you luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi there
I am not too sure on how claims companies work to be honest, but seems like its paperwork after paperwork to complete.
Have you also thought about having a go yourself without the need of a CMC? (all free with also guidelines and help from this site).
I take it you have already made a start?0 -
Yes Di started one myself. The adjudicator wants my partners signature on the claim. Now it is with an adjudicator at least. How long does it take from there?
Hiya
I know the FOS have huge amounts of complaints to deal with, but it can vary, if in hardship you can give them your reasons and ask for fast tracking.
But on average, the least at the moment it can take is 6 months to 18 months.
Good luck on yours. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

My Ex has recieved a claim form from Fscs to reclaim PPI on a joint secured loan that we had. The loan was paid in full in 2007 when we sold our house. When i contacted WFSL to ask for a claim form as i had not recieved one (have since remarried and moved from forwarding address.) they told me that the common misconception is that the PPI covers both parties on the loan but it doesnt it only covers one person and that is the first named applicant on the loan.
I asked for a copy of the loan agreement and i am the first named applicant on the loan (they did not send a copy of the PPI agreement).
i think the EX has filled in the form and sent it back. where do i stand?0 -
We had PPI added by First Active to our mortgage approx 8 years ago (through Tesco) but I was more than covered through my employment contract at the time in terms of sickness and redundancy benefits. This implies mis-selling but would they then look at my husbands contract at the time as this was a joint mortgage? He had some sickness cover but not the same comprehensive cover that I had at that time (I worked for a major insurance company - spot the irony in that!) Also does anyone have a contact for Tesco (cards and loans)? Help and advice much appreciated! Thank you0

Hi there
That is another problem in regards of the mis selling, is the loan is in joint names, but yet only covers the first person.
As far as I know its still treated as a joint reclaim unfortunately, because the comment is said its not fair to the one who is not covered to be responsible for the loan as well, in case anything was to happen and yet they are not protected.
However, please expand on a new/separate thread on this matter/still within these reclaiming threads, but you will get some correct advice on this, good luck.
