    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone thinks it is worth me trying to reclaim the PPI I took out on a loan of £1500 back in Oct 2001 with Lloyds, which I think was sold as a graduate loan. The first repayment was made in November 2001 and the last in January 2005. At the time I took the loan out I had been working for 20 months and I needed the loan to pay off my overdraft which had acrued over 6 years as a student. I was told I had to take out the PPI or get my parents to back the loan which wasn't an option as I didn't want them to know about it! I have all my old bank statements detailing the loan repayments but I'm pretty sure I destroyed the original paperwork when we moved house a couple of years ago.

    Any help/ideas very welcome!
    Thanks x

    Hello there

And yes I would go for it, many of us have been successful on reclaiming ppi going back that far and even older than that again.
Basically if you have your account number of that loan, that is a good start, as this is all you need to make a reclaim, and of course as long as you know you were paying for ppi.

If you go directly on Lloyds TSB, it shows the direct reclaiming procedures which are the same as on here, a reclaim questionnaire complaint.

Remember to keep a copy for yourself as well, and allow 8 weeks for a decision.

The address of where to send your reclaim questionnaire is included on the lloyds site.

    Good luck.

Hello, my original letter in 2008 was to cancel the ppi not a claim against mis-selling. They did not offer me to take it to the fso but were happy to cancel it even though the payments would only decrease slightly, they offered 1259.00 back into the loan however it was a full premium upfront of 4224.00 with interest, added to my loan for the full twenty years.
I have never challenged them about miss-selling.

    thanks
That is good, the cancel and mis sell are two different claims, your claim for mis sell should be dealt with when you put it in.

    :D:D naughty naughty :p

Patience is a virtue :D:D they have 8 weeks to respond to your claim, you have only given them 5 ;););)

I know it is frustrating but you have to step back and let them get on with it!!!!! the FOS have now given them extra time to deal with claims so it is just a case of "hanging on in there :D

You will get so stressed out you will burst a blood vessel :(:(
And how can you spend your "win" when you are in hospital? :rotfl:

You will be fine, you need to sit back and wait for the claim to take its course.
Front loaded ppi is a mis sell, you have a good chance, try not to get too stressed ;)
it wont help at all, and nothing is worth getting stressed about :D:D:D:D
