I'm new to this forum and just have a quick question really. I submitted a claim to Black Horse in September of last year and then referred on to the FOS when the claims were all put on hold.
Do I now still have to wait for the FOS or can I chase Black Horse again now that they have started processing claims?
Any help appreciated0 -

Hi there & Welcome.
As you taken your complaint to the FOS, I would contact them.
Its possible its being dealt with by an adjudicator or soon will be.
Contact them for an update on your case though, see if its moved on any further.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hello, my original letter in 2008 was to cancel the ppi not a claim against mis-selling. They did not offer me to take it to the fso but were happy to cancel it even though the payments would only decrease slightly, they offered 1259.00 back into the loan however it was a full premium upfront of 4224.00 with interest, added to my loan for the full twenty years.
I have never challenged them about miss-selling.
thanks0 -
RBS contacted me today by both letter and e-mail. They pretty much say the same thing:Dear ** *****,**** ******
Thank you for your e-mail dated 13 June 2011.
I sent a letter to you yesterday, which you should receive today. Since the judicial review, we've been speaking with the FSA about making sure we give every case the time it deserves and have agreed with the FSA that PPI complaints put on hold during the judicial review will receive a decision by the end of August 2011.
That said I have asked that your complaints should be reviewed as priority and for that reason I would expect you to have an answer in July 2011. Unfortunately I cannot give a specific day, although work will begin to review complaints within the next two weeks.
Yours sincerely
Not satisfied with that really so have fired this back which is yet to be replied to:
** *****,
Thank you very much for e-mail. I will await the letter in the post.
Regarding having to wait until July 2011 for a response, I can totally understand the workload RBS are currently experiencing. Also, I apperciate that this is not directly your fault but however I do a have further query.
When the PPI complaint was originally submitted in August 2010. I received a receipt of acknowledgement after two weeks letter. An 8 week deadline was then set. After 4 weeks I received further correspondance to state the complaint was still being investigated. At the eight week deadline, a letter was recieved to say that the case had been put on hold and a decision would be reached after the JR. The JR was 20th April and the BBA decided not to challenge this at the end of April.
Therefore, can I ask what was happening during that initial 8 week period because all the information sent to me indicated that the case was being investigated, and if it was not then this is misleading.
" At the present time, I am continuing to gather information about your case, so that I can send you a full reply. This means I have not yet completed by investigation....." Mark Bayliss 15th September 2010. (Four week letter)
If my case was being investigated as the letter indicates then surely a decision can be made within days.
As I have said I appreciate the effort and time that you are putting into help me with this query. I do not want to have to go FSA, due to time and all parties additional costs, and I would prefer to reach an amicable solution.
I very much look forward to hearing your response.
Kind Regards

Hiya
Cappo may be along at some point, but the CEO, stands for Chief Executive Officer (another name as well doe Managing Director etc).
If your having and problems, you could email the CEO and make them aware your not happy and so.
Hope this helps.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
Do you also think you may have a case of being mis sold?
Check on the link below for more details as well, if any of them apply to you, you can make a reclaim.

Fantastic letter you done there.:T Hope it works for you now.
That is one heck of a long time, and good points you have raised as well.
I know July isn't far away - but still why should you wait until then?
Exactly!
All crossed here x;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Cheers Di - Just fed up of the waiting - as many others are!
I think others should also ask questions about that initial 8 week period. It seems totally misleading, but then the banks do have form for that!0
