hi di i called the clydesdale bank about my ppi they said they only have one loan on my account load of rubbish do i need to send a sar thanks0

There's no reason for the banks to have anything on hold or there to be anymore delays now,be patient the cases will all get sorted out in time. If upheld you'll get full interest (probably) up to the signing of the agreement and as you know the fsa have just given the banks an extension now to 16 weeks i believe to investigate new claims although i don't think it applies to previous cases on hold. hang in there don't send your case to the fos at the mo it will get looked into
Thanks very much x0 -
can i ask how you go about claiming ppi on your credit cards thanks0

Exactly the same way you claim for a loan, fill in a ppi questionaire, with a covering letter submit it to the bank and away you go everything's roughly the same except some of the credit card sales might have been classed as un advised which might make it harder to claim depending on your reasons for claiming.0 -

some good news this morning from mbna regards my abbey credit card they have upheld in my favour and agree i was miss sold the ppi insurance policy and they are refunding my money
break down as follows
total amount of ppi charged since sale of card £292.82
total amount of interest associated with ppi premiums £852.82
8% amount £0.00
total = £1145.64
no 8% interest would it be worth taking this to the ombudsman or would it be such a small amount that it just wouldnt be worth it and if going to the ombudsman and they have agreed that it was miss sold would they award the 8%
they are putting it towards my balance owed which is a good thing because it will send my monthly crippling payments down and i wont waste it on buying something lol
a huge thank you to di and amersall and everyone else who has helped and offered help to me your all a fantastic bunch
i originaly put my complaint in around the 18th of may 2011
just gotta hope for a good result from the other 4 now
and to everyone else it can be done so sit tight and get back whats yours!!!0 -

sticky_treacle wrote: »Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me on where i go with my PPI reclaim.
I originally sent a complaint to MBNA in November 2010 to reclaim my PPI and request the policy be cancelled with immediete effect. MBNA took months to come back to me as they kept saying they were looking into it. Eventually they came back saying the complaint had been put on hold awaiting decision from the courts. However this has now come back and I still havent heard anything.
MBNA still are not willing to cancel my PPI as the complaint was on hold, I'm frustrated that I'm still paying for the policy and have recently had to give up work on health grounds and the policy is completely useless to me. I have tried writing to MBNA but now they are not responding to any of my letters. I dont understand why some peoples complaints were put on hold but others were paid out? Can anyone advise where i go from here?
Thank you
Hello there
Sorry to hear your still waiting and hope your not waiting too much longer now, its believed that the FSA have now given banks new timescales, so basically the longer its been in the sooner you should hear something.

Above is the Chief Executive, if your not happy with the way your complaint is being handled, email Ian as above and ask them for a timescale.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
