Dizzy Di, WoW, thanks for the quick reply. I email now. However,
I'm not sure what to put in the email. Any ideas what outcome I'm
    likely to receive? Thanks again.

    Your welcome.

Tell them you made your complaint on 05 May 2011, and up to now you have not heard anything, ask them if they can confirm if its received or not.
Did you post by recorded delivery?
If so you can check the status of delivery via Royal Mail website - Track and trace, and if you still have the tracking number enclose that to them as well.

Even though they do have 8 weeks, normally by a week or 2 you receive an acknowledgement letter to confirm they have received your complaint and they will be looking into it, then they should give a timescale of when you should hear of a decision.

Hope this helps, do you have a copy of reclaim form saved online?
Maybe you could attach it to your email.;)

  • Again, thanks Dizzy Di. I'll sort out all of this in the morning.
One last question, sorry. Do you think my case has a chance?
As said earlier, today i have been led to believe that most mis-
sold PPI is on credit cards and sold over the phone. My was a
loan and sold face to face......

    Cheers.

    Good luck then.
    Not a problem

Personally you do have reason for being mis sold and stand a good chance, but keep at them if you have to.
It should have been made choice and not all part of the loan.;)

    Hello and welcome

They will still have to investigate, its just they do have a backlog of the ones that were held up due to the Judicial Review, so they are automatically dealing with them and compensating, but not to worry they will still have to continue to investigate even more recent complaints.
Good luck on your reclaiming, please keep us posted, Cheers.;)

    Your welcome Tony.
August rings the bell on the timescale depending how long its been in, as the FSA have given the banks more time to deal with complaints, but hopefully you will receive your decision before that despite being told August, and good luck on the letter this week.
