PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

I have been a frontline response bobby for over seven years and am always in the firing line of angry drunks, drug addicts, burglars trying to run away from me & more besides! My point being that in the terms an conditions of my mppi it states that I wouldn't be covered if I wilfully exposed myself to danger!
I don't see how I cannot!
Also, this was arranged in the full knowledge that I was a police officer.
Has anyone, bobby or not, had a similar experience, or could offer advice (I do intend to write to them about this) as the wording 'wilful exposure to danger (exept in an attempt to save human life)' is pretty vague!
Thanks in advance
Hello there
In my opinion, I do think you have a good case here and would give it a go with your reasons.

But what I do suggest to others in regards of MPPI, also expand on this on a separate thread that is still within these ppi reclaiming threads, and title it "MPPI help", dunstonh is the one normally dealing with these type of cases with the right advice.
I will post the new thread/separate link for you below, and I'm sure Dunstonh and/or MagpieCottage will be along to help at some point today.
Good luck on this.

Hiya
Yes I agree in regards of the banks, the tables have now turned and they MUT get on with these rulings now, it will take them some getting used to I think.
Drat, sorry to hear that, well they have 12 days to send you the agreement, good luck this time round.
LOL, the injury was with my oldest sonhe will be 23 this year, and I'm still like an old mother hen to him, he hates it
:D, but still:rotfl:, he was ok this morning before leaving for work, but will see later on when he gets home. Thanks though hun x:A
Whether 3 or 23...can't stop being a mum..and still can't take your eyes off them!! x
With regard to the 12 day deadline...surely they are in breach of something or other by taking 4 months?? This is such bad practice...they are like outlaws! Can you imagine not responding to them in a specified time? They just take money owing from accounts because of the "set aside" rule ...:mad:0 -
Thats great, thanks.0

That is so true and my youngest son is 16 now and hates me fussing over him too.:o I don't think I'll ever change.
That is very bad 4 months!
I would be in contact with the Information Commissioners Office and complain.

Hiya
Cheers for your updates.
So your still waiting then?
And it was the CEO side of it you emailed via Lloyds wasn't it?
Sure its the same ones for Halifax as well, will double check on this.
I know how frustrating this can be, but stay strong now, you will get there, I promise.;)
Thanks Di
Yes i'm still waiting, trying to be patient but seeing other peoples successes slowly rolling in is making me all the more impatient!! Lol.
Although there is nothing to say that I am actually going to be successful with any of mine yet so shouldn't really be getting my hopes up.
Yes I emailed the CEO of Lloyds regarding my complaints with Halifax and Black Horse as they're all part of Lloyds. I do have to admit that the only way I can get a response from either of them is by emailing the CEO, so hands up to him.
It is frustrating to be told a month down the line that Halifax are just about to start dealing with complaints. All I wanted was some kind of timescale but neither Halifax nor Black Horse can give me that.0 -

Tell them you know of others being resolved and they were sent in after yours, this should get them moving!
I think like Cappo here, if your cases have been with them for some time, if they were to reject they would have possibly done so by now.
You can always tell them you will possibly contact the FSA as well for more information. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Do you think I should? What will happen?
Shall I also tell them about the lady from Barclaycard who told me over the phone that I didn't have PPI? Or is that irrelevant?
Thanks in advance0 -
