    Hi all,

Hoping for some advise about a credit card taken out with Halifax some 5 years ago. I do not have any paperwork for them and when I called them up today they couldn't find any details for me. So what do I do her? I have them on my Experian credit report but that does not show credit card number of if I was paying any insurance. Should I just write to them anyway as a stab in the dark and see what happens or should I try and retrieve the credit agreement first?

Can someone please advise when is the last date we can put in claims for PPI?

    Thank you!!!
Do you still have the cc?, if you only took this out 5 years ago i dont see why they would not have any details on this.
You could write a letter asking for the cc agreement and enclose a £1,and see what happens.

We had sent in a claim to welcome 20th May recorded delivery, I phoned yesterday to check how this was getting on and was told that they had not received my letter even though I had proof thru the postoffice website that the paperwork had been signed for anyway I was told by Welcome complaints dept to fax it in today. I feel like you that they are delaying the payouts that are due.

Hello Di, Thanks for all your help in the past - I was wondering if you think this may be a 'delaying' tactic on behalf of Welcome Finance.
I put in a claim for wEPPI about 6 weeks ago, they acknowledged it and then wrote Me asking me to send my original passport or driving licence to verify identification. I sent my Driving Licence and received it back from them 4 days later saying they were processing my claim. This was 3 weeks ago. I then received a letter this morning asking me to send my original Driving Licence , not a copy, which I have already done plus the counterfeit. I rang them and they said they should have asked for the counterfeit before. This of course is delaying things even further. Interested to know what you think.

    Amersall,
Thank you for advice. You are right about calling the number, if genuine I will go with them otherwise use the MSE template. See how it goes.

    Hello Sandyhills,
What I meant to say was that they asked me to send the Driving Licence again plus the counterpart which was not mentioned in the letter they sent on the 6th May requesting the Driving Licence.
    I am sending both tomorrow along with a letter stating the following;
' Having already forwarded the information requested I suggest that this is a delaying tactic and I would appreciate it if my claim can now move forward. Should there be further delays I will have no alternative but to make a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman'.

I do think they are trying to delay payouts.

    Hiya

Have they given a timescale of when they require further information?
If so tell them your gathering up further info and ask if they will allow more time for you to do this (then if you want to request a SAR) "maybe" it will help.
Afterall they tend to ask for more time when they want to don't they?;)
Call into the bank as well and speak to the branch manager who will check if they can get hold of the original agreement, however the agreement will show details of the loan and ppi, but if it was auto ticked by the bank that will probably help her case as well.
All mine from earlier years via Lloyds were bank ticked so you never know.
