    Hi again all,
As already posted I've started the ball rolling reclaiming PPI for a loan with HSBC (which has 5 months of 60 left to go). And although there is no real news or progress (other than my issues are "being dealt with"), I am concerned that my loan repayment has not been taken from my account today (which up til now has always been the case). Could the fact that I'm attempting to reclaim the PPI (and therefore would possibly have reduced loan repayments) be anything to do with it?
    Any ideas would be great.:)

    Hi there

I would be inclined to give them a ring on this, just to be sure, they will be able to confirm this on the phone to you, or call into a HSBC branch who will check for you.
    Good luck on your reclaiming.

I'm new to this forum so hi to everyone and good luck with your PPI claims

I've got PPI which I've taken out on loans over 11years ago have i still got a claim ?

    Hi there
    And welcome.

People have still been successful in making reclaims from even the 90's, so if mis sold the PPI, go for it.

More below, but ask for any help if required, good luck.

Hi Di3004 and anyone who has dealt with Halifax PPI. I am claiming 3 PPI's - two loans and credit card from Halifax. I phoned them on Tuesday, 30th May, 2011, the guy I talked to, told me that they have a backlog and that my case is being investigated and he does not know when they will respond. I did just as Martin asked us to do through Watchdog on BBC1 to call the banks. So my question is, if they tell you they are investigating and they are not giving time when they are going to finalise the case. I wrote to them in January 2011 and they wrote back to say that they are waiting for the Judicial Review, so I did remind them about this and the guy all he could say was he understands and that they are doing everything they can to process everyone's complaint. I do not know what to do next. Any ideas?

    Hiya

Mine was the same via Lloyds, until they decided to uphold on them last week, up to the week before I was told they were dealing with complaints from date of order, mine had been with them since before Xmas 2010.
However, I did a lot of chasing through the CEO, so it maybe worthwhile you doing the same, tell them your not happy and have waited long enough but assumed you would have heard something by now.

The above for Lloyds is the same CEO for Halifax as well, and its whom I emailed.;)

    Fingers crossed.

    Hi there,

I also have 3 PPI claims with Halifax. The same as you, 2 loans and a credit card. I began to reclaim for 2 of them at the beginning of December last year and was told they were on hold pending the judicial review. I sent letters about a month ago and still heard nothing. So I emailed the CEO of Lloyds about 2 weeks ago and I then received a letter from Halifax to say they are dealing with complaints in date order of the date received. But i'm still none the wiser as to where they are in the queue!! So i've emailed the CEO again tonight, i'll probably get the same answer but we'll see. ;)
When did you put in your complaints?

    Good luck :)

Just to let everyone know the exact covering letter states:

We are looking into your concern and will let you have a reply as quickly as possible

To assist our investigations, please complete the attached Financial Ombudsman Service Questionnaire and return it to us within the next 10 working days in the enclosed business reply envelope. In the meantime, we will continue to investigate your complaint based on the information we already hold and we may contact you earlier if we find sufficient grounds for upholding your complaint.

I posted the filled out FOS questionnaire on 20th May & have now received a letter from Barclays explaining that they are contacting another department to gather more information & will reply before the 30th June....Is this the normal run of things??? My first letter was posted 18th of April 2011.

    Hiya

Maybe they are gathering more info on your account, calculations etc. Seems its all running as it should be, although 8 weeks is the normal practice, but they are keeping you informed, good luck.;)
