Just got letter from MBNA saying they are looking into my Insurance. Has anyone had any success from these?

Good luck on your reclaiming, I've never had dealings with these myself before but many on here have done, fingers crossed.

Hi there, did you get your ncb? give FSCS a ring and ask what to do about the ppi, i think if you cancel this then you would not get a decent rebate and i dont think your payment will reduce a lot as the ppi is still on there.

Find out what happens when you get all the ncb that you are entitled to, as Welcome are now with the FSCS and people have posted about this saying that if they cancel the ppi then they will get the cashback (i assume this the same as the ncb) that they are due to get, if that is the case you could use that to pay down the loan, and this may reduce your monthly payment.
Costs nothing to find out does it?.

PERSONAL ATTENTION OF STEPHEN HESTER, GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE

    3rd June 2011

    Dear Sir,

I refer to my letter dated 9th May addressed to you. You passed it to Scot Mclellan who subsequently passed it to a Maxine Doherty. Mr Hester will you stop playing these stupid games, you are holding me with contempt. You are the CEO and as such have a responsibilty to reply to me.
The letter from Maxine Doherty states:-

" However, as you are unable to provide any additional information for me to take into account, I am unable to change my previous decision" ???

What additional information is that Mr. Hester ???? Can you please enlighten me

I would suggest that this is your latest style of "FOB OFF" letters and that you actually have no intention of repaying mis-sold (fraudulent) PPI's

Be aware that I have requested from you on numerous occasions proof beyond doubt that your salesman who sold me the PPI, did so correctly. I requested a transcript of the telephone conversation. On both counts you have ignored me. If you cannot provide this information, you are not actually in a position to state the policy was correctly sold to me.

Mr Hester, what part of the statement below do you not understand
1: The RBS mis-sold a PPI to me. The saleman lied to achieve his commission.
2: Mis-representation by the salesman is fully covered by the Fraud Act 2006 (as you are fully aware)
3: I would suggest due to the 1000's of people who are and will be claiming against you, that this is a fraud on a major scale. You are of course aware of this as the RBS has put aside £1bn. I have severe doubts that you have any intentions of paying this amount back and will rely on "fob off" letters as above in the hope that many will just accept. With the power of the internet nowadays, gone are the days that your "fob off" letters will work.

My claim for compensation against the RBS, which you already have, will stand
Be advised that I will persue the RBS for the amount claimed

Due to the severity of this matter and the letter sent to me by Maxine Doherty, it is prudent that I send a copy of this letter to the FSA and FOB for their clarification on that paragraph

    Yours faithfully

    Copies to: FSA and FOB

Hello Di, Thanks for all your help in the past - I was wondering if you think this may be a 'delaying' tactic on behalf of Welcome Finance.
I put in a claim for PPI about 6 weeks ago, they acknowledged it and then wrote to me asking me to send my original passport or driving licence to verify identification. I sent my Driving Licence and received it back from them 4 days later saying they were processing my claim. This was 3 weeks ago. I then received a letter this morning asking me to send my original Driving Licence , not a copy, which I have already done plus the counterfeit. I rang them and they said they should have asked for the counterfeit before. This of course is delaying things even further. Interested to know what you think.

Hi there, do you have a counterfeit driving licence?
    Sorry could not resist :rotfl::rotfl:

I think this is just a stalling tactic, put a complaint into FOS.
They think they can just fob people off and it will be accepted.

It may be worth waiting for, but i would ring FSCS and see what they say about what happens if you cancel the ppi.
