I used to do both, send by email and hardcopy post just in case, but ask for confirmation by email so you know they received it, good luck.
Thanks for your help. Am just going to dig out the mortgage paperwork in full to see if there is any mention of self employment and if not I will go for it! Watch this space. (I hope)The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
Hi there
Its a possible case here, but please post this on separate thread as posted below, so it doesn't get missed, Dunstonh is sure to help with this one, title it "Mortgage MPI", good luck with this.;)

Morning all,:kisses3:
Just a quick query.
Do we need to send out any paperwork to lenders if our applications have been on hold pending the High Court ruling?
Requested all paperwork and put in a claim a couple of years ago, but Santander wrote to me stating that all claims were on hold pending the Court case.
Should I send them a letter requesting the cash or wait for them to contact me?
Thanks in advance

My update,
well nothing to report really
Northern Rock under review
Nottm BS under review
Norton finance under review
however no reply from Natwest (naughty) today is their 14 day too, so a call will be made to them shortly.
The waiting is painful even though its still early days.0 -
Hi , Its not very often that I post but I was wondering if anyone has had any success with RFS. This loan was done through Renault for a new car and I was in part time work at the time of taking the loan out.
Hi there
Hopefully someone will post up of their own experiece of them.
The PPI was probably worthless to you, especially if you worked less than either 18 or maybe 16 hours a week.
Good luck and some details on how to reclaim below.

I have today received a letter from them asking me to accept the letter as confirmation that the complaint I made has been upheld in my favour. Was all ready to write to them to ask them to get a move on! I assume this means they accept they mis-sold PPI to me. They go onto say that they will use FSA and FOS guidance to calculate exactly what my refund is and that it will be completed within 8 weeks. How would I work out how much I should expect so that I know they are not under-paying me?? Also, although I still have a balance on the card, can they just pay off what I owe them or should I get the refund direct to then decide what to do with it?
Thanks in advance
Hi there, when you get the workings out, post them on here and Marshalka or Robbedof will help you with these.
Some use the refund off the account but you will need to ask them about this.
And well done on your win!:j:j0 -
Here's my dilema. I took out a loan with Barclays a few years back and have just under £2K left on it. I took out PPI. I signed a contract thingie with them which on it states that they won't cover pre-existing medical conditions. When reading through it a couple of months back, I remember thinking, this is the first time I've seen this.
The problem is that I do have a pre-existing medical condition which could coause enough probs for me to be off work and ned the insurance to kick in but I knwo I wouldn't be covered, having read this document.
I probably don't have a leg to stand on as I have a signed document to say I understand that pre-existing conditions aren't covered, but this was never explained to me and when I signed the document, it was all very rushed I seem to remember and I certainly was never asked verbally about any pre-existing conditions.
Do you think I would still have a case?0
