    Thanks Di,

Knew I could rely on you. I'm just about to fill in the questionnaire, shall I actually admit to ticking the box and give my reasons? Or shall I just give my reasons? Don't want it going against me by admitting I ticked the box, as they may say that I did and i've admitted it, now go away!!

    Thanks :)

What I did was give them my reasons and told them I ticked on the agreement because that is what I was told to do, however some of mine were bank generated and not ticked by me.
It could have been the same for you, but I did used to think I was ticking away for the loan/credit card where ppi was all inclusive, and was not told any different.;)

    Di,

I've just had another look at my credit agreement and its such a bad photocopy they've sent me that I can't work out if i've ticked the box or it is pre-ticked!! So now i'm thinking maybe I won't admit to ticking the box incase I haven't after all. But did they used to send application forms with the boxes pre-ticked?? Or am I just wishful thinking! Well I shall just give my reasons for mis-sell, that should be ok shouldn't it? I'm sure they will get back to me and let me know if I did tick it!! :)

Just wondering if we might have a case for claiming MPI. We took out a Nationwide mortgage in July 2006 and were sold MPI. The person who sold it to us was fully aware that my husband was a self-employed contractor and claimed that it did not matter and that the policy would pay out in the event of him losing work. I have found some paperwork (although not the full policy) and noted that unemployment is a part of the cover. Are there any situations at all where the self employed are paid for loss of work or is it likely we have a case?

We actually cancelled this insurance in February 2009 because my husband did not believe that they would pay out if he was laid off and we did not receive any refund of premiums.

    Many thanks

Also there only seems to be an email address for writing letters to Nationwide. Is it correct to email them rather than write a letter?

    Hiya
Yes that is fine, you do not have to mention anything about the agreement anyway, and if they sent you a bad copy and its all they have then there may not be anything to prove by them anyway, so no worries and good luck.;)

    Hi there

Its a possible case here, but please post this on separate thread as posted below, so it doesn't get missed, Dunstonh is sure to help with this one, title it "Mortgage MPI", good luck with this.;)

I used to do both, send by email and hardcopy post just in case, but ask for confirmation by email so you know they received it, good luck.

Hi , Its not very often that I post but I was wondering if anyone has had any success with RFS. This loan was done through Renault for a new car and I was in part time work at the time of taking the loan out.
