Hi there, with Paragon you need to chase the insurer on this, find out who this was and put a claim into them.
If they come back with a "no" then you can take this to FOS.
This may take a while but you may have success in the end.

Thanks. I got told in the letter that the insurer was Midland & General Ltd. Now need to find an address. Its worth a shot.
• Hi, we were contacted 2 years ago by a company offering to claim back money on a loan that we were sold. At the time my husband had been made redundant and had been unemployed for 4 months (thankfully he has since found another job). We agreed because this was before all the recent publicity regarding mis-sold insurance and to be honest we were really struggling financially. They told us we had a solid case, would chase on our behalf and it would take about 6 months, also telling us they would retain a small portion of the eventual compensation. We received a few letters over the 2 years telling us that this was "ongoing". Now that the legal case has been won, can we tell this company that we want to claim the money back ourselves or are we tied in with them? We haven't heard anything from them recently and to be honest they don't seem to have done very much at all.

Appreciate any advice.

Hi there

I am not sure where you would stand in this case, but it must be very frustrating for you.
If your having some issues with them and not heard anything maybe they are no longer running, give them clams regulation (MOJ) a call about this company, they will check them out, and if this is the case nothing is stopping you from having a go yourself.

Hopefully you can write and ask them to return any paperwork.
Good luck with this.

Hiya
Have you the email addresses for the ones that have not acknowledged your complaints?
Normally they would do this by 1-2 weeks, it may take a little longer with some due to backlogs but you could try chasing them up.
And as you are aware then they have 8 weeks in full to make a decision.
I cannot remember the name of the business's your dealing with, maybe we can check email addresses out on them.;)

Right some details.

Santander
Tel - 0845 600 6014 - select option 3.

Complaints Santander, PO Box 6197, Milton Keynes, MK10 1UY.
ceo@santander.co.uk

HSBC
Tel - 0800 881 155

The Senior Manager, Service Quality Team, HSBC Bank PLC, Arlington Business Centre, Milshaw Park Lane, Leeds, LS11 0PP
managingdirectoruk@hsbc.com

I thought Abbey National were the same now as Santander, and all complaints are being dealt with these, so could be worth you ringing to check on that one with Santander, ask if your complaint via Abbey have been forwarded on to them.

Hope this helps, let us know, good luck.;)

Hi all, my PPI claim against lloyds tsb has been with the ombudsman for over a year now, how soon do we expect banks to start paying out the money theyve put aside? They ignored the initial ruling so it was refered to the senior ombudsman.
